Trustee’s report
Wear It Share It is a charity that provides children’s clothing to families in need of support. Our focus is on collecting clothing from donors and distributing it to those who may be struggling financially including asylum seekers, refugees and families experiencing homelessness. By working in partnership with community organisations schools and local services we aim to ensure that every child has access to good quality clothing when they need it most.
Key Achievements
This year it has been a time of both growth and change for Wear It Share It.
• Continued to provide clothing, bedding and shoes to more families through generous donations.
- Relocated our storage unit, enabling us to expand our reach and support
more families across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
- Increased support for refugee and asylum- seeker families, responding to higher levels of need this year.
. Providing to children's services/ domestic abuse organisations and self-referrals.
- Continuing to Build on a wider network of partners including religious organisations and NHS workers.
. Set up a dedicated referral email address, improving how we manage requests coming in.

Policies and Procedures: We have a robust safeguarding policy and procedures to ensure effective governance. (meetings with trustees) and financial management (accountants prepared by a chartered accountant).
Future Plans
Wear It share It, is committed to growing its impact and supporting even more families in need. Our priorities include.

Building a dedicated volunteer team to help collect, organise, and distribute clothing whenever families need it.

. Creating more opportunities for people in the community to hear about our work and get involved, whether through donating, volunteering or spreading the word.

. Applying for new grants and funding to strengthen and sustain the charity’s work long term.

. Partnering with local networks and community groups to widen our reach and work effectively together, ensuring more children each year have access to good - quality clothing.
Conclusion
Wear it, share it remains dedicated to ensuring that families in need have access to good quality clothing. The trustees are grateful for the generosity of donors, the time given by our volunteers, all of which make this work possible.
As we look ahead, the charity is focused on expanding its reach so that even more families can be supported. We plan to strengthen community partnerships, grow a dedicated team of volunteers and explore new funding opportunities to secure the long term sustainability of our work.
Above all we remain hopeful and excited for the future - working together with our community to make sure every child has access to the clothing they need, when they need it most.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF

The report relates to financial statements set out from page 1.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:

Examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act

To follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and
-
To state whether matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair' view, and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner's statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention to indicate that:
(1) Accounts have not been kept in accordance with section 386 of the Companies Act 2006
(2) The accounts do not accord with such records.
(3) Where accounts are prepared on an accruals basis, whether they fail to comply with relevant accounting requirements under section 396 of the Companies Act 2006, or are not consistent with the Charities SORP (FRS 102)
(4) Any matter which the examiner believes should be drawn to the attention of the reader to gain a proper understanding of the accounts.
