SOMERSET ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND NATURAL HISTORY SOCIETY CIO
registered number 1203584
(“ CIO ”)
Annual Trustees’ Report and Accounts Year Ended 31 December 2024
1 Objectives and activities
The objectives of the CIO are the same as those of The Somerset Archaeological and Natural History Society (“Society”) namely:
“to promote the study of archaeology, natural history and history, with particular reference to the historic County of Somerset, in such ways, including publications and information technology, as the charity trustees may deem appropriate.”
The CIO was formed to incorporate the Society. In order to, achieve this the assets of the Society need to be transferred to the CIO. This transfer has not yet been implemented. It will be effected by means of a vesting declaration and asset transfer agreement, vesting the assets of the Society in, and transferring them to, the CIO (“Transfer”).
Both the Society and the CIO continue to discuss with stakeholders and third parties about the documentation required to effect the Transfer. It is hoped that this will be concluded as soon as possible.
Accordingly, the CIO has no assets and has not carried on any activities, other than seeking to secure the Transfer.
2 Achievements and performance
As stated above the CIO is seeking the completion of the Transfer before it can achieve its objectives.

The CIO currently has no assets or liabilities.
