Key partners in setting up the charity are
Musinc and the Tees Valley Music
Service who are both represented within
our Trustees. We know that music has
the power to change lives for people of
all ages and backgrounds, and that the

activities is increasingly hard to get. The
new charity will make use of our efective
partnerships to both raise more funds
and increase the profle of the great
music activities that already happen

**completely by volunteers, or through In**
**Kind support from the music**
**organisations that support us. In the**
**first 6 months we raised £60 from**
**Lloyds. In the last year we have**
**launched a website and a fundraising**
**campaign. Since July 2024 we have**
**been successful in raising £2500 from**
**Tees Millions and over £500 in**
**sponsorship and campaigns. This will**
**be used for the purpose of the**
**applications, to support the Open**
**Orchestra programme in**
**Middlesbrough.**||

**We have just started to launch our**
**fundraising campaign and are at the**
**start of our journey. We were successful**
**in raising just over £3000 in applications**
**and campaigns. This fell short of our**
**target. Fundraising is proving much**
**more difficult for newly formed charities,**
**with low income, and no history of**
**successful funding applications. Most of**
**the large funds available to arts**
**organisations have only become**
**available to other large charities since**
**before Covid. We are hopeful this will**
**change in the coming years.**|

**applications. As above we have had**
**some success but are ineligible for a lot**
**of funds available to music charities. We**

**full time in the Music Industry. That said,**
**at the last board meeting it was agreed**
**this charity was a useful vehicle for**
**raising awareness, lobbying for more**
**funds to music education, and to apply**
**for small grants that would have a big**
**impact on individuals in our region. We**
**are in an area with high levels of**
**deprivation and most children cannot**
**afford to access music education**
