Tees Valley and the broader North
East region in particular by:
1. providing grants of fnancial
assistance to charities and
not for proft organisations
designed to support the
provision of musical
engagement and musical
learning opportunities and
activities for people of all
ages, abilities and
backgrounds;
2. providing workshops, events
and activities, facilitated by
qualifed music
professionals, to promote
engagement with and
enjoyment of music.

activities in relation to those
purposes for the public

Para 1.17 and

We work with local music
organisations with the aim of
advancing the musical education
of the public, primarily in
Middlesbrough and Tees Valley, to
provide musical engagement and
learning opportunities, and
fnancial support, for people of all
ages, abilities and backgrounds.
Key partners in setting up the
charity are Musinc and the Tees
Valley Music Service who are both
representedwithinour Trustees.
We know that music has the power
to change lives for people of all
ages and backgrounds, and that
the process of making and
engaging in music activities can
contribute signifcantly to
increased wellbeing. Funding for
music activities is increasingly
hard to get. The new charity will
make use of our efective
partnerships to both raise more
funds and increase the profle of
the great music activities that
already happen across the Tees
Valley.
Statement confirming
whether the trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit
Para 1.18 All Trustees have been informed of,
received documents and read and
adhere to the guidance that was issued
to the Trust by the Charity Commission
on Public benefit. All Trustees declare
any conflicts of interest at all meetings,
and the constitution has been written
and ratified to ensure all activities are
delivered and managed purely for public
benefit, and not individual interest.
