Aims and Objectives
The prevention or relief of poverty in Afghanistan by providing essential items, such as food and clothing to individuals in need. The relief and assistance of people in Afghanistan who are the victims of war, natural disaster or humanitatian crisis in particular, but not exclusively, by the provision assistance to rebuild and restore damaged buildings or land.

Accountant's report to the board of trustees on the preparation of the unaudited statutory accounts of Ariana Foundation for the year ended 30 April 2025.
In order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Charities Act 2011, we have prepared for your approval the financial statements of Ariana Foundation for the year ended 30 April 2025 which comprise the Statement of Financial Position and the related notes from the charity’s accounting records and from information and explanations which you have provided us with.
This report is made solely to the board of trustees of the charity, as a body, in accordance with our letter of engagement dated . Our work has been undertaken solely to prepare for your approval the financial statements of Ariana Foundation, and state those matters that we have agreed to state to the board of trustees of the charity, as a body, in this report. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than Ariana Foundation and its board of trustees, as a body, for our work or for this report.
It is your duty to ensure that Ariana Foundation has kept sufficient accounting records and to prepare statutory financial statements that give a true and fair view of the assets, liabilities, financial position and surplus or deficit of the charity. You consider that Ariana Foundation is exempt from the requirement to have a statutory audit or an independent examination for the year ended 30 April 2025.
We have not been instructed to carry out an audit of the financial statements. For this reason, we have not verified the accuracy or completeness of the accounting records or information and explanations you have given to us and we do not, therefore, express any opinion on the financial statements.

1. General Information
Ariana Foundation is a charitable incorporated organisation registered with the Charity Commission, registered charity number 1203575. The principal address is .
2. Accounting Policies
2.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) "Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)", Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Charities Act 2011.
The charity is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102.
2.2. Cash and Cash Equivalents
Cash and cash equivalents are basic financial assets and include cash in hand and deposits held at call with banks, other short-term highly liquid investments that mature in no more than three months from the date of acquisition and are readily convertible to a known amount of cash with insignificant risk of change in value, and bank overdrafts.
