I have been asked to perform a"knght touch" review otthe accounting records of the Hoping
Charity in accordancewith requirements set inthe Charitycommission financial reporting
guidance. l am a retired accountantwith over 30 years of finance leadership experience in
multinational companies.
Scope: I have reviewed the transactional and record keeping processes. in particular the
expense and income 8ccountinE and the cagh r8conciknations. I have also interviewed the
charity's operational leaders regardingthe controls around these piocesses.
Conclusions:
The transactions have been accurately recorded
There Is no ewdence of risk regardingthe reimbursement of the cooks expenses or any other
disbursements.
No materi81 risk of fin8ncialfraud was identified relating to transactions.
The closing cash balance is accur8tely reported in the annual report.
