The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the policies for the accounting period commencing from 01/04/2024 to 31/03/2025. The Mon Buddhist Foundation UK charity aims to promote the public awareness of Buddhism, Buddhist teaching, Meditation, Mon cultures and traditions. ## **Charitable objects** - To promote and advance the Buddhist religion for the benefit of the public - To teaching, study or practice of the principles of the Buddhist faith with a particular focus on the Mon Buddhists - Provision of a monastery, centre or other place for worship - To preserve, encourage and promote the culture of Mon Buddhists, its tradition and language - To producing and/or distributing literature to enlighten others about the principles of the Buddhist religion - To maintain close communication with and work in co-operation with other groups with the same or similar objects. ## **Activities** This year the Charity participated in the Buddhist ceremonies, Mon national day ceremony and donated to the monastery and monks. (1) Wesak day (Buddha day) was cerebrated on full moon day of May representing the Buddha's birthday, the day Lord Buddha attained supreme enlightenment, the day Lord Buddha preaching, and the day Lord Buddha passed away. All four events happen on the full moon day of May. (2) On full moon day of July, Vassa Robe ceremony was cerebrated and observed five precepts and listen the Dhamma sermons. (3) Pavarana day (end of raining retreat) was cerebrated on full moon day of October. (4) Offering Kathina Robes ceremony on the full moon day of November. (5) Offering foods and donation to Buddhist monastery in February for Mon National Day. (6) Teaching Buddhism, meditation, Mon language and culture to the adults and children by monks. (7) Offering food to monastery monthly and quarterly meeting. MON BUDDHIST FOUNDATION UNITED KINGDOM ## **Financial Statement** The trustees have prepared the Trustees' report and the financial statements for the financial year end 31 March 2025. Donations have been receiving monthly or lump sum contribution from the followers to establish a Mon Buddhist Monastery for the purpose of to continue the growth of Buddhism, to practice meditation and Mon culture. The total donations received during this financial year 2025 is £17562. The trustees' report was approved by the Board of Trustees dated on 8 January 2026.
