## **2. Structure, Governance and Management** 

Angel Hair and Beauty Foundation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation governed by its constitution. The trustees are responsible for ensuring the charity meets its objectives and complies with Charity Commission requirements. 

The charity does not employ staff and is run entirely by volunteers and trustees. 

## **3. Objectives and Public Benefit Statement** 

The charity’s objects are: 

- **To advance vocational training** in barbering, beauty, aesthetics and related skills for young people in need of training that enables them to begin their careers. 

- **To relieve the charitable needs of homeless people** , those at risk of homelessness, and people living in poverty by providing free haircuts. 

The trustees confirm they have considered the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit when planning activities. 

## **4. Activities and Achievements in the Year** 

During the 2023–2024 period, the charity delivered the following work: 

## **1. Financial Support for Learners** 

The charity contributed **£8,000** towards the course fees of approximately **10 learners** who otherwise could not afford vocational training in hair, beauty or aesthetics. This directly supported young people in gaining employable skills and accessing career pathways. 



## **2. Free Haircuts and Beauty Treatments** 

The charity provided more than: 

- **50 free haircuts** 

- **50 free facials and beauty treatments** 

These were offered to individuals from low-income households, vulnerable groups and members of the community needing wellbeing support. 

## **3. Community Fundraising Event** 

A fundraising event hosted at the academy raised **£700** . 

This also increased local awareness of the charity’s mission. 

## **4. Community Engagement and Wellbeing** 

The charity supported the community through: 

- Free model days 

- Supported access to training 

- Signposting and informal advice 

- A welcoming safe space for young people and vulnerable adults 

## **5. Financial Review** 

## **Total Income:** £9,700 

- £9,000 donations from trustees/family/academy 

- £700 from a community fundraising event 

## **Total Expenditure:** £8,600 

- £8,000 student course fee subsidies 

- £100 on facial products used for free community treatments 

- £500 event costs 

## **Net Surplus:** £1,100 

## **Funds brought forward:** £0 

## **Funds carried forward: £1,100** 

All funds were held in cash in the charity safe. 

The trustees intend to open an official charity bank account to support future financial management and grant applications. 

## **6. Reserves Policy** 

The charity aims to maintain a small level of unrestricted reserves to ensure its work can continue sustainably. 

## **7. Plans for the Future** 

The charity intends to: 

- Expand subsidised vocational training for disadvantaged learners 

- Deliver pamper days for care homes, young people in need and vulnerable individuals 

- Increase outreach to local organisations 

- Seek grant funding to support larger community projects 

- Establish a dedicated charity bank account
