During the reporting period, Ready Steady Go Hello Charity supported children and young people living with long-term conditions and/or disabilities, and their families, to build confidence, resilience, independence and wellbeing. The charity delivered empowerment, education and support activity through the Ready Steady Go Hello framework, using structured resources and co- produced approaches to support understanding, shared decision-making and participation in everyday life. The charity also provided youth group activity for young people, alongside sessions delivered jointly with patients and parents, supporting peer connection, family understanding and mutual support. Activity initially focused on kidney services and has begun to |

Para 1.20 | During the reporting period, Ready Steady Go Hello Charity strengthened its delivery of empowerment, education and support for children and young people living with long-term conditions and/or disabilities, and their families. The charity supported beneficiaries to feel more confident, informed and involved in decisions affecting their health and lives. Youth group activity and joint patient-parent sessions helped reduce isolation, build peer connection, and improve family understanding and communication. |
The charity also delivered national study days and education activity for healthcare professionals across multiple specialties, supporting the delivery of the charity’s aims by promoting person-centred, developmentally appropriate practice. Feedback from these events was positive and indicated increased confidence and understanding among professionals, contributing to changes in practice aligned with the charity’s charitable purposes. Through this work, the charity contributed to wider societal benefit by supporting more consistent, inclusive and empowering approaches to care for people living with long-term conditions.
