Luton Africa Hope is governed by its constitution and managed by its Board of Trustees. The Trustees are responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the charity and meet as required to oversee governance and compliance. 

## **3. Objectives and Public Benefit** 

## **Charitable objects:** 

Luton Africa Hope exists to advance education, relief of poverty, community development for the public benefit, particularly among African and diaspora communities. 

The Trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. 



## **4. Review of Activities and Achievements** 

During the reporting period, Luton Africa Hope did not carry out any charitable programmes or projects. 

This inactivity was due to: 

- Limited operational capacity and funding 

- A period of organisational review and strategic planning 

Despite the inactivity, the Trustees ensured that statutory, governance, and compliance responsibilities were maintained.

Accounting Policies 

The accounts are prepared on a receipts and payments basis, in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 and Charity Commission guidance for small charities. 

Independent Examination / Audit 

Given the lack of income or expenditure, the accounts are not subject to independent examination or audit. 



## **6. Risk Management** 

The Trustees reviewed the main risks facing the charity, particularly those related to inactivity and sustainability, and are taking steps to mitigate these through strategic planning and future fundraising considerations. 

## **7. Plans for the Future** 

The Trustees intend to: 

- Resume charitable activities when resources allow 

- Seek funding and partnerships aligned with the charity’s objectives 

- Strengthen governance and operational capacity 

The Trustees remain committed to advancing the charity’s mission in future periods.
