**Objects:** FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT 1. TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF HORTICULTURE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY ENCOURAGING PARTICIPATION IN HORTICULTURAL ACTIVITIES AND TO ENCOURAGE AND FACILITATE GOOD AND ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE HORTICULTURAL PRACTICE, APPROPRIATE TO PREDOMINANTLY URBAN CONDITIONS, PRINCIPALLY IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF LAMBETH AND SURROUNDING AREAS.2. TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE HORTICULTURE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THROUGH THE PROVISION OF ADVICE AND SUPPORT TO LAMBETH COUNCIL AND OTHER GOVERNMENT, CHARITABLE AND COMMUNITY GROUPS AND, WHERE APPROPRIATE, THROUGH PRACTICAL PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVITIES OF A HORTICULTURAL NATURE WITHIN PROJECTS AND EVENTS.

**Activities:** The Lambeth Horticultural Society undertakes to :1. To promote public knowledge, interest and participation in horticultural activities, encouraging and facilitating good horticultural practice appropriate to a largely urban environment, principally in the LB of Lambeth and neighbouring areas. 2. To advise, support and participate in horticultural projects and local events
