## CYMMER SCHOOL COMMUNITY GARDEN

During the 2024-2025 period we undertook several key projects as well as begun planning out the future of the garden and how the community can get involved. 

Key events for us this years was the excavaTon and remodelling work that we had carried out on site, to help create a more accessible, and Tdy garden. 

During the growing season, we successfully applied for grant funding for new raised beds, and potato seeds. Thought the year we proacTvely donated harvested produce such as potatoes, runner beens, onions, garlic, and many other vegetables to the local food bank, as well as to members of the community directly. 

We hosted a volunteer from a local school with auTsm, who acTvely got involved in the garden work every Wednesday for several months. 

Planning a head to 2026 and beyond, we’ve secured funding to cut several large trees within the garden boundary. While also receiving a grant to build a solar shelter, solar irrigaTon system, pond and our hope is to 



begin friendly open workshops to build a closer relaTon to the members of the community.
