Reaching Kent for Christ
The Kent Gospel Partnership (KGP) consists of local churches and individuals partnering to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to all people in Kent for the glory of God. The KGP seeks to establish a partnership of Biblecentred churches in Kent working together to train Christian leaders to strengthen and plant churches and to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ. We aim to do this through events, prayer and support.
The Charity is governed by the trustees, who follow the Kent Gospel Partnership’s Constitution to ensure the charity’s work meets the objects as stated. The trustees continue to meet termly to pray and discuss the direction of the KGP, its vision for the future and how best to meet the objectives of charity, to advance the gospel in Kent for the glory of God.

Kent Women’s Convention
This year’s Kent Women’s Convention took place in October at St Nicholas Church, Sevenoaks, with nearly 300 women in attendance. The theme was Take Heart! Encouragement from the Psalms of Asaph, taught by Helen Thorne-Allison. Three seminars were offered, delivered by a range of speakers from across Kent and slightly further afield. The KWC planning team continues to work, under the guidance of the Trustees, to provide a convention that serves the needs of Christian women in Kent.
Kent Men’s Convention
The Kent Men’s Convention was also held at St Nicholas Church, Sevenoaks, and again welcomed over 300 men. The main speaker was Paul Mallard (FIEC), who spoke on the theme Real Strength – Depending on God in life’s highs and lows. The programme comprised three teaching sessions, alongside singing, updates from Kent-based charities, and a slot for prayer and news from the KGP. During breaks, attendees had opportunities to network and visit the bookstall.
We are grateful to 10ofThose for supporting the conventions by providing an excellent range of resources through the bookstall.
Annual Convention
An Annual Convention was planned for May; however, due to low ticket sales the event was cancelled. The Trustees resolved to explore a different event for the summer term next year and will seek feedback to determine what would best serve churches across Kent.

Prayer Initiatives
Attendance at the Leadership Prayer Morning declined, so from September the Trustees introduced a new monthly Prayer Zoom. This has been well attended and has enabled more church leaders to participate without the need to travel.
The Partners Prayer Mornings were re-launched as Partnership Training Mornings from September. These featured various speakers offering training on topics relevant to leaders in Kent churches. These sessions have been well received and well attended.
Appointment of the Director
At the start of the year, the Trustees began prayerfully considering whether to appoint Richard Hagan as the part-time Director of the Kent Gospel Partnership. Richard has a deep heart for the county and a strong desire to support and encourage churches and to see the gospel faithfully proclaimed. He was appointed in the summer and began work in August. Since then, he has been actively developing the charity through new initiatives and events to support churches in Kent, as well as providing one-to-one encouragement and support to pastors.
