The charity is related to The Goodwash Company (formerly a Community Interest Company), receiving a share of the net profits of The Goodwash Company, and the charity retaining a 10% shareholding in The Goodwash Company. It also fundraises directly itself with the intention of distributing funds to meet its charitable purposes. The charity is run by four trustees, one of whom is a director of The Goodwash Company. One trustee resigned from the charity during the relevant period and was replaced.
Activities and Objectives
The charity spent this period establishing itself and planning for the following year including holding initial trustee meetings, setting up a bank account, establishing a page dedicated to the charity on The Goodwash Company’s website to host information about the charity, allow for grant applications to be made and donations to be received.
Achievements and Performance
The charity received donations of £2,000 raised at an event held by The Goodwash Company at its launch and held for the charity until it was fully established and held a bank account. The charity did not make any distributions of funds during this period as it needed to establish its ability to receive grant applications and retain sufficient funds to host future fundraising activities, and have funds available to pay set up costs.
