Independent Examiner’s report to the Trustees of :
Emmanuel Full Gospel International – Registered Charity Number(CIO) – 1203427
I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31[st] March 2024
Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner
The Charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under Section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an Independent Examination is needed. It is my responsibility to:
-
Examine the accounts under Section 145 of the Charities Act.
-
To follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under Section 145 (5)(b) of the Charities Act), and
-
To state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Independent Examiner’s report
My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a “true and fair” view, and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent Examiner’s Statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention.
-
Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in. any material respect, the requirements:
-
To keep accounting records in accordance with Section 130 of the Charities Act; and
-
To prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act have not been met; or
-
To which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Trustees Report - Year end – 2023/2024
Emmanuel Full Gospel International & EFGI Cornwall Aid Centre and ‘Life Changers’ transferred to a CIO 6[th] June, 2023 and continued expanding bringing a wide variety of projects. EFGI & EFGI Cornwall Aid Centre work and support people in 4 out of 5 of the most deprived areas in Cornwall with volunteers giving many hours of much commitment, care and kindness, making a difference to the communities they serve. These neighbourhoods are among the 10% most deprived places in the UK and EFGI & EFGI Cornwall Aid Centre continued finding innovative ways, bringing care and support throughout the community.
EFGI - Weekly services
Weekly services throughout 2023/24 increased with many different nationalities joining church services and bringing diversity of worship and including Sunday School. Meetings during the week included bible study, community groups, youth groups, Family Fun Nights, prayer and meals together etc.
EFGI Cornwall Aid Centre
EFGI Cornwall Aid & Skill Centre continued being a timely support to the local community helping in high areas of deprivation in Cornwall. Services in Truro were held in The Moresk Centre and outreach in the community also expanded, bringing help and support. A team of volunteers have identified further areas requiring community help and will expand further throughout 2024-2025.
EFGI – Redruth - The Sanctuary
Repairs of the building and roof are on a continual basis. EFGI Trustees and volunteers are continually committed to upkeep of the building and thank everyone for all their hard work and kind efforts. New heating in the Sanctuary will be required for the winter of 2024 and this will be addressed.
- Recycling, re using and upcycling

further expansion has now become necessary and the Co-ordinator, along with volunteers are looking to expand further in 2024/2025.
School Books
Books purchased and donated to schools throughout 2023/2024 and requests from schools had increased and further teams will be required throughout 2024/2025 enabling more children to enjoy fun and exciting sessions. Volunteers also recycled material making Bags.
‘Life Changers’
‘Life Changers’ Charity shop – Truro, continued supporting the wider population and volunteers worked hard throughout 2023/24 impacting thousands of lives over a wide range of areas and increased, receiving requests to open more ‘Life Changers.’ Pursuing this community request would require suitable premises and further venues will be considered in 2024/25.
Silver Lining (Previously Hearts for Heartlands)
Silver Lining continued fortnightly throughout 2023/24 with OAP’s, single parents, people with mental health issues, loneliness etc. attended and enjoyed a great time of fun, laughter, hot lunches and friendship.
OAP Residential Homes
Requests and visits continued to increase attending OAP Residential Homes where so many residents loved to sing and enjoy fun and laughter together, helping the residential community have a link to the outside community.
Food and warmth projects
Large quantities of food and warmth products purchased, donated and distributed into the local community. EFGI Cornwall Aid Centre received support from CCF to help bring much needed food and warmth to the local community and these issues continue to be of very high proportions as families suffer the winter with utility bills soaring out of control. Volunteers worked hard to enable people the communities to receive cooked meals and meals to take home in order to be able to enjoy cooked food helping save on their utility bills.
SHINE
SHINE commenced for women in the community to enjoy a night of activities, food and a speaker. Volunteers organised and decorated great evenings enabling women to relax enjoying a break from everyday problems and concerns of life. We have had requests to take SHINE to other areas and this would be considered throughout 2024-2025.
Conferences
The IGO Conference and EFGI Winter Conference continued throughout 2023/24 and this would continue into 2024/2025.
