H8ppyMOMents CIO is a peer to peer charity. supporting moms. children & families in Batley & Dewsbury. We
have had a suw¥ful first year as a CIO. which has bu1￿ w the f￿ndatIOnS laid by our work 85 a coftytilutod
community group in tha 6 yoars boforohand {th08e all had fornal acc<)unts tool.
Our main activities fo¢u$ on providing Oppor￿nItiO$ for early leaming, development and wellboing for Ic¢al
familles, the majority of whom are from a BAME background with intersecting vulnerabllibes. particularly living In
the top 11>20% of the most dewryed areas in the county.
Our preventativ8 approath to heallh and wellb8iw means we offer peer to peer advice and support lo l¢)Gal
families by ssgnposting through ¢JJr provigion: often we are a bridge lo more fomal heatthcare seThices and we
support fafflilie$ lo navigate the I¢￿1 hoalthcare $yslom if ne6ded. We are embodded ￿thin the Lo¢81

Our passion for battor OPE￿I￿ni￿.e5 for early wjucation is ¢CmF4omenled by being an active member of
the local school hub. BBEST. Our maln pro￿s1On Is based at a kxal Surestart Centra 8t Pentland I&N School In
Dawsbury and we V￿rk wlth other venues In Batsy to offer provision th¢r• t￿.
The Slay & Play Schedule for Batley & Dewsbjry is rel￿d upon by knal famili8$ to p￿n weekly early learning
actlvilles for their chlldren. 11 is shared on our n8l*Dd(s and more widely by olh8r local hubs and schools as
