charity (Yhe Trust.) for the period ended 0110812025.
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out

Challenges:
We continue to struggle to secure repeat funding from a donor base that Is largely fmancially
compmmised. At the same time. we must be mindful of the need for future projects, whilst
managing reserves prudently and responsibly.

Reserves Policy:
Trustees aim to hold unrestricted reserves equivalent to approximately 12 months of running
costs (c. £1,500). As at l August 2024, free reserves stood at £2,924.85, as trustccs await
decisions regarding ￿tllre research donations.

3. Objectives, Public Benefit and Activities
Charilable Objects.
To promote scientific research into the prevention. cure, management and alleviation of
iatrogenic dtse&se-including, but not limited to, Post-Finasteride Syndiome-by providing
funding on the condition that useful research r¢sults are disseminated for public benefit.
Public Benefft:
Th¢ trustees confjrni that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission's public
benefit guidance in planning and d¢livering activities during the rewrting period. By fimding
independent scientific researclL raising awareness among healthcare professionals and the
wider public. and facilitating improved adverse- effect r¢porting, the charity has continued to..
Advan¢¢ understanding of PFSIPSSD pathophysiology. knefiting cu￿ent and ￿tUre
patients through peer-reviewed publications and data-sharing networks.
Improve pali¢nt outcomes by disseminating practical inforn]ation and resources,
leading to earlier recognition and management of adverse effects by clinicians.
Enhance regulatory safeguards by collaborating with the MHRA to refine adverse-
¢vent reporting workfiows, reducing the risk of under-reporting and safeguarding
public health.
Activities during 2 Augusl 2024- 1 August 2025:
Fundraising: Raised £402,380, £400,000 of which is restricted by two anonymous
donors, to be spent on research in progress and future potentially relevant projects. All
donations are made in accordance with the Charity's docum¢nted donations policy.
Funds are Predominantly received from patients and family members.
Grant-making: Committ¢d approximately £750 to fund Professor Melcangi's
"Milano Project" at the University of Milan, a seven-investigation initiative
translating preclinical PFS findings toward human trials. Our trusted partner. Th¢ PFS
Foundation, requested that we held off making a more substantial donation until after
the accounting period to assist a joint fundraising initiative oCCu￿1ng laler in the year.
Seientifie Engagement: We continued to search for and screen additional r¢s¢archers
to investigate underlying mechanisms of PFS and Post-SSRI Sexual Dystunction
(PSSD). A polential collaboralion with ihe University of Glasgow is still in ob¢yance.
Awareness and Advoea¢y:
Orchestrated TV, radio and press interviews to highlight the scale and severity
of finasfrride sid¢-¢ffects.
Engaged the MHRA to improve adverse-effect r¢porting accuracy and
ttmeliness.
Organised a specific outreach programme aim¢d at health professionals
involved with those suffering from PFS and PSSD

Sidefxhub.UK is constituted as a Charitable Incorporaied Organisation {CIO) under English
law. Overall control is vested in the Board of Trustees, who set strategic direction and
oversee governance. Day-to-day decision-making is delegated to a patient-led Board of
Directors. which meets weekly (with continual and frequent daily liaison) to manage
