1. Objectives and Activities
Bridging Development Gaps UK (BDG UK) aims to support disadvantaged individuals and communities by promoting personal development, well-being, skills-building, and social inclusion.
The charity works to:

Support individuals at risk of or experiencing hardship, unemployment, or crisis

Promote mental, emotional, and social well-being

Provide information, training, and resources
In 2025, BDG UK focused on strengthening the organization, launching its first community programme, and enhancing its governance
2. Activities and Achievements in 2025
- a. Domestic Abuse Forum — “Bridging Gaps to Prevent & Support in the UK” Date : 18 September 2025

3. Public Benefit Statement
The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty under section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.
BDG UK’s activities provided benefits by offering free education, support, and resources to the community.

Statement on SORP Compliance
As a small charity preparing receipts and payments accounts, BDG UK is not required to prepare its financial statements in accordance with the Charities SORP. The trustees have therefore prepared the 2025 accounts on a receipts-and-payments basis in line with the Charity Commission’s requirements for small charities.
Reserves Policy
BDG UK held no reserves at the end of the financial year, as all funds raised (£650) were used to deliver the domestic abuse forum. As the charity grows, the trustees will develop a reserves policy to support long-term sustainability.
