Recruitment and appointment of trustees Tlie trustees have developed a policy for the recruitment of trustees that ensures their collective experiences and skills are best able to meet tlie needs of the charity. Trustees are appointed by the board of trustees. Organisational structure Tlie trustees meet annually and periodically, as and when required, and are responsible EOT the strategic policy and direction of the charity. Dav to day running of the charity is carried out by volunteer committees. Objectives To advance the Orthodox Christian religion in the UK lor the beiiefit of the public, in particular, although not exclusiirely, tho%L' a(Thed between 16 and 35 years of ab?e, through the holding of meetings, publjc celebratioii of religious festivals, and Producing and/or distributing literature on Orthodox Christianity. Activities Tlie inaiii activities of the Charity involved organisins religious, cultural and other activities as ivell as general charitable wor￿. Events included the now annual Pentecost Picnic (23/6/241 and Lenteii Retreat (22/3/25}, 'Kick-off' events for local chapters of the charity (29/9, 10/11 and 30/ 11/24) and ChTlStmas Ei'ent (14/12/24). EducatlOll<il talks were held on "The

Meaning of Faith" (27/10/24) and "Neighbourly Love In Divisive Times" (19/1/25). The charity also invited guest speakers like Philip Mamalakis ("A Word to the Wise" 13/10/24), Meletios Webber ("On Addiction5" 28/11/24) and Aidan Hart {"We Live as We See" 16/2125). Workshops were held on "Managing Stress" (1112/24), prosphora baking (22/1/25) and knttling (30/3/25). The charity also hosted other social events at the Phoenix (8/8/24) and the Life Goddess (17/11/24) and in variou5 Archdiocesan parishes throughout the country. In particular "A Burns Night Ceilidh III" was held in Edinburgh (18/1/25). WilIiam Ian Christmas resigned as trustee in December 2024 due to his upcoming relocation to the United States of America. Public Benefit The trustees have considered and discussed the issue of Public Benefit which is a requirement under the Charities Act 2011 and have concluded that the activities carried out by the charity fulfil this requirernent. Financial RevAew and Reserves At the year end there are free reserves of £9,629. The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act). An independent eXamij￿ti0n has also not been undertaken given that income was below £25,000. Ri8k Review The trustees have reviewed the major risks to which the charity is exposed and action has been taken where necessary to reduce these risks to a minimum.
