The Treasurer presents his report for Elephant Charge UK (the ‘Charity’) for the period 31 May 2023 to 31 December 2023.

Principal Activity

The Charity was granted authorisation by the Charity Commission for England and Wales (the ‘Authority’) to act as a Registered Charity. The authorisation was granted effective from 31 May 2023. The Charity has been active in the period.

Review of Business

For the period ended 31 December 2023, the Charity registered surplus funds of £318.17.

Expenditure

All Charity expenditure has been fully accounted for in the period. Disbursements of restricted funds totalling £5,370.00 have been made to Elephant Charge Zambia in accordance with the Charity’s funding and expenditure policy.

Going Concern

The Charity shows surplus funds of £318.17 in the period. As the Charity is still very much in its infancy, the trustees foresee a significant increase in donations in the coming months. The Charity financial forecast for the next three years forms part of the Charity Strategy document.

Cash at Bank

The Charity bank account at Metro Bank had a balance of £4.82 at the end of the period. The Charity account held at Paypal had a balance of £313.35.
