Trustees Report for Period 31[st] March 2023 to 1[st] April 2024 

Having decided that the old Hall is in such a poor condition and beyond economic repair, we decided that the only solution was to build a new Hall. We are now in the process of trying to raise funds for the new Hall. In addition to this, we have reformed the Association from an Unincorporated Charity to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with a new constitution, we have dissolved the old Charity and transferred all the old Association assets to the new CIO. The change-over came into effect on the 31[st] of May 2023. We also opened a new Business Bank Account on the 2[nd] of October 2023 and transferred all the funds from the old account to the new one. We have employed an architect to design the new Hall and to do all the necessary work and apply for Planning Permission. 

Full Planning Permission for the new hall was granted on the 21[st] of August 2023. 

We have been able to negotiate with Hartlepool Borough Council (HBC) a new 99-year lease for the land that the Hall stands on, together with the adjacent plot at the pepper corn rent. All this will enable us to proceed with the redevelopment of the new Hall.
