Trustees who served during the period and up to the date of the report are set out on page l. 5truciure. governance and management Governing Document The charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation wtth a Constitution approved by the Charity Commission in May 2023. Appointmentand trolning of trustees Trustees are appointed by existing trustees and three by Landkey Parish Counal. All trustees are required to corn￿ete a form. All new trustee5 receive a copy ot the annual report and an update on the charity. Orgunisation The charity is administered by its principal Officers (Chairman. Secretary and Treasurer) acting with the advice and tonsent of the Board of Trustees and the advice of various advisory groups. All Officers are elected annually. The Board of Trustees meets as necessary but at least 3 times a year in nomial circumstances. Funds Funds held by the Charity are either. Restrlcted Fund, being funds that can only be used for particular restrirted purposes wrthin the objetts of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when fund5 are raised for particular restricted purposes. Unrestricted Fund5, being fvnds that can be used in accordance with the charitsble objects at the discretion of the trustees. Wbthin this the Trustees have set up a designated fund for property renovation. Reserves Policy. The charity has no reseNes wlicy. Investment Policy The charity's policy has been to keep its long-terni funds in equities. itwested in the Income Unit5 of the Charities Investment Fund. Trustees have continued to keep the assets in good repair. Trustees have embarked on a project to bring cottages 1-3 to an appropriate ener8y rating. This is proving to be an extensive project and likely to corbtinue for a few year5 The Charity now has planning perniission to upgrade these properties and now needs to decide on the way forward. Currently 2 of these properties are vacanL Trustees have established necessary policies & procedures whith are reviewed annually. financial Review The Trustees report a surplus for the period. Rental income is tower than expected as we have two vacant cottages whilst we work through the plans forthe future. General expenditure is lower than anticipated.
