Trustees Annual Report for the year ended 17[th] May 2024. 

The Trustees present their Annual Report and Accounts for SADA E ZAINAB TRUST (S.A) for the year ended 17[th] May 2024. 

## **Objectives and activities of SADA E ZAINAB TRUST (S.A)** 

To promote and advance the religion of Islam as narrated and interpreted by our Holy Prophet Muhammed (P.B.U.H) and The A-Imma Ithna-Asheri Ahlul Bayt (A.S) for the benefit of the public in Rochdale in particular, but not exclusively by: 

Providing lectures and other opportunities for Islamic education on the principals of Islam, the Quran and the teachings of the prophet Muhammed (P.B.U.H); 

Organising and participating in interfaith events and activities to enlighten others about the Islamic religion; 

Providing pastoral care and support such as provision of food to those in poverty or the homeless as a practical expression of the Islamic Faith. 

## **Management and governance arrangements** 

The management of SADA E ZAINAB TRUST (S.A) is undertaken by the trustees of management comprising of a Chairman, General secretary, Treasurer. 

No trustee or committee member received any emoluments during the year in respect of services performed nor were any expenses paid on their behalf. 

The yearly programmes were conducted. Muharram and Ramadhan Majaalis were held at the hired venues with regular attendees. A minimum number of Iftars were held during the month of Ramadhan. Food and refreshments for these Iftars were provided by the trust. Likewise, majaalis were also conducted for the first ten days of the month of Muharram and Arbaeen and on other special dates. Scholars and reciters were engaged to speak at the above-mentioned functions. 

Our largest Annual Majlis which was held on 23rd June 2023 held in a hired mosque in Oldham. The costs for these majlis were borne by the trust. 

Total receipts from subscription and donations were £111,080, which represented the amounts paid into bank through standing orders and sundry donations. 

Majaalis and Milads sponsored by the trust amounted to £37,784.84. This represents food (Niaz) and refreshment provided and paid for by the trust for each programme and other main events. Also, contribution towards reciters’ fees and travelling fares paid directly by trust for the events throughout the Islamic year. 

The cost of venue hire amounted to 17,000.00 to allow programmes to take place and other special events including Ramadhan, Muharram days and annual majlis. 

Bank charges amounted to £111.16 for the financial year. 

For the year ended 17[th] May 2024 there were leftover donations over expenditure cash at bank £56,182.67 and £1.01 left in petty cash leaving a total reserve of £56,183.68 at close 17[th] May 2024. 



It is hoped that the charity will continue with its activities of providing the needs of Muslims communities in future years and it is strongly hoped and expected that the next annual Majlis will take place during 16[th] June 2024
