## _**FRIENDS OF DUNCHURCH SOCIETY PARISH ASSEMBLY 2025**_

**Over the years, The Friends of Dunchurch Society have welcomed a number of young people who are taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. It’s lovely that these young people have chosen FODS to help gain their qualification.**

**FODS, along with many other village groups, will always welcome volunteers!**

**We gratefully received donations from the Dunchurch Festival Group at Christmas and from the Dunchurch Village Hall for deep cleaning after a very successful panto season.**

**At our Spring Fair held in April, we raised £750 and at Winter Wonderland we raised £674. All money will to go towards projects around the centre of the village.**

**We would like to thank stall holders, shoppers, entertainers and volunteers who helped to raise this fantastic amount.**

**A small group helped at the very successful Dunchurch Fete in June arranged by the Dunchurch Festival Group.**

**We will be holding a fashion show with Wanda Fashions this September, plans are already under way for Winter Wonderland 2025 and the popular tearoom will be open again in the village hall for certain events.**

**The Make A Difference group will resume their duties in the Spring. Planting, watering, sweeping, tidying, painting, deadheading, weeding, litter picking, cleaning etc around the centre of the village and anyone is welcome to join us!**

**Thanks go to our advertisers in the Dunchurch Village Magazine. This allows a free voice to non funded village groups and we are grateful to DPC for resuming their support for the magazine which also helps fund it.**

**On a personal note, I would like to thank Sue Protheroe for her work as Editor of the Dunchurch Village magazine and for organising FODS events and the tearooms!**

**Also thank you to Janet Beaumont and Julie Young for their work in producing fabulous editions of the magazine time after time!**

**And thank you to the FODS Trustees and volunteers for their work, commitment and ideas!**
