## **Charity Annual Report: Compassion2All**

**Charity Number: 1203171**

www.Compassion2all.org

## **Overview**

Compassion2All is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Our mission is to advance the Christian faith, particularly among marginalised and underserved communities. Through Compassion2All Church, we provide multilingual Sunday worship services, Bible studies with translation support, prayer meetings, community outreach, and creative activities that foster inclusion, spiritual growth, and holistic support.

## **Governance**

The charity is governed by three trustees: Helen Hwang, Phil Hwang, and Rev. Cho. All trustees are committed Christians dedicated to extending God’s Kingdom and restoring lives. None of the trustees receive remuneration; they serve voluntarily with diligence and sacrifice, working collaboratively to fulfil the organisation’s mission.

## **Objectives and Activities**

The trustees are happy that the following objectives are consistent with the Charity Commission’s general guidance on ‘Public Benefit’. The summaries below were the main activities undertaken by the charity demonstrating how each activity provided public benefits.

## **1. Advancing the Christian Faith**

This objective is grounded in Matthew 28:19–20, which calls believers to make disciples of all nations. Throughout the year, we carried out weekly outreach activities across Huddersfield, distributing Christian literature and engaging respectfully in one-to-one conversations with members of the public. Christian messages were also shared online, extending our reach beyond the local community.

Baptism services were provided for individuals who confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and committed to following Him. Baptisms were conducted by Rev. Cho. The sixth baptism, held at Calderdale Swimming Pool, was particularly significant, bringing healing and restoration to an individual previously hurt in a former church context and serving as a public witness to the wider community.

## **2. Discipleship and Christian Teaching**

To fulfil the call to discipleship, we established Truth2All, based on John 8:31–32. Regular Zoom Bible studies and Church history teachings were delivered throughout the year. The Women of the Bible programme provided a safe and supportive women-only environment for biblical study and faith exploration. In addition, a weekly Bible study for teenagers was launched and has continued to flourish.

We organised our second Bible Festival, using competitions and interactive learning methods to encourage deeper engagement with Scripture. Medals, trophies, and certificates were awarded to motivate participants.

Children were supported to attend Christian camps where they experienced immersive faith-based learning alongside Christian teachers and peers. We also supported individuals to attend the Kingdom Series Camp at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Wales, where many experienced spiritual growth through developing a Christian worldview, deepening fellowship, and learning principles for practical Christian living.

Couples’ seminars were delivered for those married outside a Christian framework, equipping participants with biblical foundations for marriage and positively influencing family life and child upbringing.

## **3. Restoring Mental and Spiritual Well-being**

We supported individuals and families through home visits, assessing mental, spiritual, and living conditions. These visits frequently resulted in home worship services, prayer, and encouragement. Additional support included wellbeing walks, swimming, ice skating, and children’s holiday activities.

Weekly Friday evening prayer meetings provided a welcoming and consistent space for sharing needs, mutual encouragement, and learning to pray.

Birthdays were celebrated following Sunday worship services and through home visits for individuals without family support. One woman in her early fifties shared that it was the first time her birthday had ever been celebrated, highlighting the charity’s commitment to dignity, inclusion, and care.

## **4. Other Charitable Purposes**

During the summer, individuals and families participated in canal boat trips that offered relaxation, social interaction, and emotional refreshment. In addition, a visit was organised to a theatre in Halifax to watch a CDC dance performance, providing a new cultural experience for many attendees.

We organised a Creative Christmas programme that welcomed people from all backgrounds, including non-believers, in a warm and joyful atmosphere while sharing the true biblical meaning of Christmas. Christmas gifts were distributed to children and families experiencing financial hardship. Theatre pantomime tickets and ice-cream vouchers were also provided to families facing social exclusion.

A Compassion2All calendar was created using memorable photographs from our activities, fostering a strong sense of belonging and joy. A total of 250 calendars were distributed free of charge to community members and supporters as a meaningful expression of gratitude.

## **Collaboration**

We collaborated with NNR Baptist Church, Grace Community Church, The Salvation Army, Missionary Ventures Great Britain, Food for Fort, UKWC, and Tabernacle Baptist Church. These partnerships strengthened our capacity to deliver meaningful and effective community support.

## **Finance**

From April 1[ st ] , 2024 to March 31, 2025, the charity’s total income amounted to £10,650 while the total expenditure was £10,425. The charity did not apply for or receive public funds during the reporting period. Instead, we relied on God’s provision through the generosity of our supporters. Trustees contributed generously, and a small number of individuals made sacrificial gifts despite having limited personal income. Through this faithful support, the charity was able to meet its financial obligations and operate within its means.

The reserves policy forms part of our annual report for the financial year to 31 March 2025. We recognise the need to hold reserves which help meet our ongoing needs and recognise as charitable trustees that we are accountable for the prudent use of resources. The balance of funds in the general reserve at the end of the financial period were £4,291, this is set aside to meet the day to day needs of the charity. This policy was approved by the trustees at a meeting held on 31 March 2025.

We remain deeply grateful for the Lord’s provision — _“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”_ Truly, the Lord has provided for us as **Jehovah Jireh** .

## **Summary**

Despite the challenges of supporting vulnerable individuals during the early stages of the charity’s development, the trustees remain fully committed to achieving Compassion2All’s objectives. It has been a joy to witness lives being transformed, renewed with hope, and finding meaning and purpose in Christ.

We have given generously of our time, energy, and financial resources to support individuals and partner organisations. In particular, we provided funding to Missionary Ventures Great Britain to support their project of sending Bibles to children in Moldova. Seeing photographs of children receiving their Bibles with joy was deeply rewarding and encouraging.

All activities and materials were offered free of charge, in accordance with Matthew 10:8 “Freely you have received; freely give.” We give thanks and praise to God, our guide, provider, and sustainer.
