TALGARTH COMMUNrrY HALL Reg'd Charity 1203154 THE REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR TO 31 DECEMBER 2025 Backcloth The Trustees met informally(with othervolunteers) in 2022 with a view to enteringa lease from The Church in Walesto manage and maintain the Talgarth Church Hallfor the benefit ofthe community otTaigarth and environs. Taigarth Cotnmunity Hallwas registered as a Charity in May 2023 and consequent upon signature ofthe lease took possession of the Hall in December2023 atwhich time the Hallwas renamed Talgarth Community Hall. Annu8l Report After a successful'launch. in 2024, in 2025 the Twstees. assisted by manyvolunteers. continued to establish the Hall as an attractive venue for communityevents with the emphasis upon inclusion. Income accrues from rental fees paid bythose making use of the hall and from a varietyof fund-raising events run by and involvingvolunteers. The Hall has become a safe space for people of all ages. a place where conversation and friendship are the cornerstone of the Hall's success. Duringthe yearthe Trustees used funds raised. with some generous donations and a grant from Powys County Council for improvements in catering facilities. to complete work on a disabled lavatoryfacilityand to upgrading existingsanitaryfacilities. Further fund raisingwas targeted at re-roofingthe Hallwhich workwas completed duringthe year thanks to some voluntaryeffort and the generosity of localtrades. The work involved the Charity incurring a small excess of expenditure over income, though this did notjeopardise the Charity's financial standingorfuture. Alltime and effort put into managingand maintainingthe Hall is offered on an entirely voluntary basis bythe Trustees and many others. Allfunds are used to cover running costs and otherwise to improve the facilities in accord with the objectives of the Charity. The appended 8¢counts covering actiwties duringthe yearto 31 December2025. have been prepared bytheTrustees and independentlyverified bya qualified third party.
