It is with immense gratitude and pride that we present the Annual Report of the Rehmat Educational Foundation for the fiscal year 2024-25. As a dedicated charitable organisation committed to transforming lives through education and skills training for street children, and those engaged in child labour in the deprived areas of Pakistan, we aim to provide opportunities and support to underprivileged children, helping them break the cycle of poverty and achieve their true potential.
This year marks a significant period of growth and accomplishment for the Foundation. Through our programme, we have expanded our reach and impact, offering not just education, but a chance for a brighter future. Our dedicated team, generous donors, and committed partners have been instrumental in this success, to whom we extend our deepest thanks.
Your contributions have enabled us to implement effective programmes that equip children with essential skills and knowledge, empowering them to break free from the shackles of child labour. Together, we have laid down pathways leading these young minds toward opportunity and success.
In this report, we detail our key achievements, noteworthy projects and financial performance over the past year. Despite challenges, the Rehmat Education Foundation has remained steadfast in its vision to empower through education and skills training. Charitable Objectives
The advancement of education particularly, but not exclusively, through the provision of grants, donations and scholarships to poor children in Pakistan as the Trustees may decide from time to time.
Mission:
To transform the lives of street children and children engaged in child labour by providing free, high-quality education and vocational training, equipping them with the skills necessary for a brighter and self-reliant future.

Activities & Achievements
Since its inception in 2023, Rehmat Education Foundation’s focus has remained on empowering street children and those involved in child labour by providing them with educational opportunities at Rehmat School, a charitable institution located in Ahmed Pur East, Pakistan. In the past year, Rehmat Educational Foundation has continued its mission to support the educational and overall well-being of underprivileged children through Rehmat School. This report outlines the key initiatives undertaken in 2024-25. Key achievements include offering more out of school children the opportunity for education, establishing an IT Learning Centre, forming an international partnership with Caistor Grammar School in the UK, providing essential school supplies, implementing a comprehensive free school meal programme, safeguarding health, nurturing joy through special celebrations, and emphasising our dedication to keeping children in school by providing financial support to prevent their engagement in child labour.
Educational Opportunities
In the past year, Rehmat School has continued to facilitate access to education for street children and those engaged in child labour. We are pleased to announce that 25 additional children have been enrolled, increasing our total student body to 87. This growth highlights our commitment to offering these children a chance to attend school and step towards a promising future.
Rehmat School’s comprehensive educational programmes emphasise literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills. These programmes serve as a foundation for lifelong learning, enabling students to gain the knowledge and skills needed to improve their life circumstances significantly.
IT Learning Centre
In December 2024, we made significant strides by inaugurating the IT Learning Centre as part of our mission to provide quality computer education. Our centre is equipped with eight state-of-the-art computers, allowing students to embrace technology and develop essential digital skills.
The IT Learning Centre is a transformative initiative, aimed at equipping students with skills relevant for future employment. By learning computer skills, our students can access new job opportunities, creating a pathway out of poverty.

Our commitment extends beyond basic education; we are continuously working to upgrade our facilities and resources. The IT Learning Centre will soon offer advanced courses and certifications, ensuring alignment with technological advancements and providing our students with up-to-date competences needed in today’s digital world.
Development of the foundation’s website
Over the past year, the Rehmat Educational Foundation has launched a new website, rehmatfoundation.org.uk, aiming to enhance transparency, accessibility, and engagement. The site offers easy navigation to communicate our mission, share updates, and provide resources to supporters and partners. It includes sections on programs, impact stories, and our foundation's history, helping visitors to understand our goals and achievements. Additionally, we provide secure and straightforward online options for making donations and signing up as volunteers, making participation easier.
This website is a crucial step in creating a connected community supportive of educational opportunities for street children and those involved in child labour.
New International Partnership: Enhancing Literacy and Cultural Exchange
This year marked the initiation of a groundbreaking collaboration between Rehmat School in Pakistan and Caistor Grammar School in the UK. This partnership focuses on enhancing English language skills and promoting cultural exchange.

Library Enrichment Programme
The Rehmat School Library saw a significant addition over 2,000 books, ranging in diverse subjects and genres. These books were donated by different schools in Lincolnshire (UK) and were collected by our volunteers to be shipped to Rehmat School in Pakistan. This enrichment program was designed to stimulate intellectual curiosity and foster a passion for reading amount students.

School Meal Programme
To address basic nutritional needs, the foundation has implemented a school meal programme.

To combat financial challenges faced by families living in poverty, Rehmat Education Foundation has consistently provided monthly stipends. This financial support prevents children from being forced into labour or begging on streets, thereby facilitating continued education. It allows families to prioritise schooling, creating a sustainable educational pathway for their children.

Health Checkup Programme
Understanding the healthcare challenges faced by disadvantaged children, the foundation organised comprehensive health checkups. Dr. Zulfiqar Haider, a UK-based child specialist, conducted health assessments. The foundation also arranged additional medical tests and lifelong medication for children in need.

Future Plans
Our vision for the future remains clear and focused: to expand learning opportunities and help students acquire skills to break the generational cycle of poverty. In the upcoming year, we plan to broaden our initiatives, emphasising technology integration in education, increasing health awareness programmes, and launching a mental health support initiative. By doing so, we aim to contribute to individual growth and broader community development.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
Financial position
The charity received donations totalling £21,522 and incurred expenditure total £15,348 leaving a surplus for the year of £6,174. All income received related to unrestricted funds.
Principal funding sources
The charity's principal source of funding is donations.
Reserves policy
The trustees do not consider it necessary for the charity to hold long term reserves. Reserves are held on a short-term basis with the view of making grants when suitable projects arise.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE & MANAGEMENT
Structure
A Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
Type of Governing Document
The charity is controlled by its governing document, its constitution that follows the CIO Foundation model.
Statutory Declaration
The Trustees confirm that they have paid due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit in deciding what activities the charity should undertake.
Trustee Selection Methods
There must be at least three Charity Trustees. If the number falls below this minimum, the remaining Trustee or Trustees may act only to call a meeting of the Charity Trustees or appoint a new Charity Trustee. There is no maximum number of Charity Trustees that may be appointed to the CIO. In accordance with the Constitution, Trustees are appointed or re-appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. In appointing Trustees due consideration is given to ensuring that the Trustees have, between them, the skills and experience necessary to manage the charity effectively and in accordance with charity law.
Confirmation:
The trustees intend to continue operations and support Rehmat School in Pakistan for the foreseeable future, provided that no obstacles arise.

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Rehmat Educational Foundation
I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of Rehmat Educational Foundation (the Trust) for the year ended 5th April 2025.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act').
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under Section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by Section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records; or
-
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of preparing the financial statements
The financial statements of the charity, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)', Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland' and the Charities Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
Income
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement to the funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the charity to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
Grants offered subject to conditions which have not been met at the year end date are noted as a commitment but not accrued as expenditure.
Taxation
The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
Further explanation of the nature and purpose of each fund is included in the notes to the financial statements.

There were no trustees' remuneration or other benefits for the year ended 5th April 2025 nor for the period ended 5th April 2024.
Trustees' expenses
