The Charity has a Risk Register which is reviewed and updated regularly.
As a minimum the reviews are undertaken to provide a report to the

due consideration to the major risks to which the charity is exposed and
satisfied themselves that systems and procedures are established to
manage those risks. To fijrther expand here the contact Intetvals between
events is very short, every 2 weeks or less due to the schedule of delivery
provided by ihe charity- This facilitates regular fa￿ to face contact
be￿een the volunteer trustee group where a live and dynamic approach
to risk identlfication and mitigation can be applied. The core service
delivered by the charty is not in rtself inherently a high risk offering. We do
however apply a live Risk Management approach lo our events wilh the
application of a Risk Assessment prO￿sS for all evenls. The backdrop to

during the year
The structure of the family of choirs allows the senior singers to act as
mentors to the younger singers. Wrthin the senior singers is a youth
leader group, who participate wrth Ihe choir leader and senior supporting
personnel in repertoire selection, agreeing rehearsal structures and
targets_ This provides the youth leader group opportunities lo assume
some responsibility wlthin the Servi￿ delivery and gives them ownership
as well. There are outreach opportunities presented within the year which
enable the senior youth leaders to lead events with secondary schools as
well as taking on leading roles within the choir's performance
programme, (conducting, vocal leading and permforming so50 etc)
The charity continues to be responsible for Ihe delivery of County Youth
Choir as a part of Cornwall Music Hub IASONE HUB} strategy for youth
ensernbles. This reportin9 period aligns generally wtth year 2 of the 2
year contract. Taking on the Service delivery was a required action to
secure and maintain the choir Service offering for the young people of
Comwall.
In the 2024-25 full academic year period the charity has given over 30
performan￿ opportunities to the various choirs at a variety of events,
from local concert sin support of other charities, to fundraising concerts,
Christmas public events. competition events both locally within Cornwall
and also at more distant localions within the UK.
The continued participation of the young people drives their improved
musical ability. increasing confidence and supporting aspiration and we
see the eviden￿ with some of our senior singers leaving to follow
palhways in musscal theatre and university level music education.
