The Iruslees manag8 the allairs ol the CIO day-lo-day, exer¢lsing Ihgir powers in good lailh in order lo further the purposes ol the CIO - b9ing primarily the provision ol essential products lo those in need in the local arga.

Providing emergency food. essential toiletries, and household items to individuals and families in need and l or for distribution by charities or other organisalions working lo prevent or relieve poverty. Such other means, including Ibut not limited tol the provision of support or signposting to other relevant information and advisory services. Achievemonl¥ and performance Thornaby Foodbank has been in existence since 2015. It has operated continuously over the past 9 years, including during the Covid pandemic, providing food parcels weekly lo individLJals in need, and raising money lo support this aclivily. In January 2023 il was decided that the organisalion should apply lo become a Registered Charity., charitable slalus was granted on 12 May 2fi23. The number ol clients has varied over this period, peaking al around 180 per week. Financial revlew The CIO has received £19,379 during the period via donations and grants, which is sullicient lo cover its annual expenditure. The CIO held a bank balance of approximately £13,Q45 at 31 March 2024.
