There was a need and it was reco8nised there were folk who wanted to make a difference by donating to
different projects In the fomi of grants.
The grants are made with an agreement between the Trustees of the Charity and the receiving charity. Thls
is monitored to ensure that the funds are spent for the purpose they were sent.
Trustee meetlngs have mostly remained onllne due to the deslre to avoid unnecessary travel for in-person
meetings. We will continue to meet online, and in person when thts is deemed to be appropriate.

Completed Projects

Impoct of the Project. includes.".
After a year of no proper lighting at the Good Shepherds House the connection tothe local electricity grid
has enabled children to do their sch¢)ol homework in the evenings.
Electronlc equlpment can easily operate in the House and be recharged.
It also allows other projects to have power such as water pump for the Water Project and the Community
Hub.
Water project
This project began afterfunds were raised to drill a bore hole forthe site.
We were very disappointed when they drilled four hole5 wlth no success of finding water underground
even after two surveys.
We then had to reassess and explore other alternatives as the need for water is great.
It was declded that a water harvesting system would be a good option.
The Good Shepherd's House will be able to h3rvÈ5t 20,(m litre5 of rain water from the roof to the two new
tanks. and the two existing 5,tJJO litre tanks wlll be located hl8her up the hlll to supply the house gravitv
fed. Gutters all around the roof are in place to collect the water and direct to the two lar8e stora8e
containers. A pump has been purchased to pump the water.
Waterwlll be used by the community for the washin8 of clothes. cooklng, and garden use. Helping the
children by not havin8to walk up to three kilometres to fetch water and reducin8 the cost of bringing
water in by tractor.
Construction work lof i.e. Communlty Hub) will be easler and offset the t05ts durlng the Hub construction.
