## Annual Meetng Cylch Meithrin Llanfechell 2023/4
## Chairman’s report
On the 5[th] May 2023, we became a Charitable Independent Organisation (1202964) after much hard work during the application and transition period. As such, we re-registered with the Charity Commission and adopted a revised constitution under CIO approved requirements. We were required to hold our Annual Meeting within 18 months of registration and therefore the Trustees (formally known as Committee members) agreed that we should align our Annual meeting with our end of year accounts and subsequent Charity Commission returns. Our first Annual Return as a newly formed CIO will be 31.01.25.
All regulation activity is now complete and look forward to our imminent inspections to finally consolidate our CIO journey.
Last year, we had a busy year again. We have continued to utilise the Community Rooms with the support of school and the Community Council. The rooms continue to be ‘lent’ to us under annual licence.
The School has provided the Facilities Maintenance and we continue to adopt the school rules on Health, Safety, Fire. We are very grateful for all the encouragement, support and joint working.
The number of children we have as at April 2024 is 18 children registered for Cylch, we are registered to take up to 18 children.
We remain registered as a provider under ‘30 hours scheme’. Currently ‘30 hours scheme’ pays £5/hour, we have 4 children currently registered.
We have continued to develop our offer within the curriculum framework and we have worked closely with both Mudiad Meithrin and Early Years team at the Council who have offered support and guidance as needed.
Our Apprentice is now in her final 6 months of the 18 month Scheme. Our Apprentice will endeavour to qualify in October in her National Vocational Qualification level 2/3, and we continue to be incredibly grateful for the finacial support of Ysgellog wind farm fund, Llanfechell Community Council, Cymdeithas Llanfechell and Anglesey Charitable Association that has made this project possible.
We have continued to apply for financial support from other bodies and fundraised through a range of activities such as - raffles, tombolas and events.
## Stafng
Leader – Sioned Jones - level 5 qualified – has successfully been responsible for day to day operations and management of cylch and staff, meeting CIW and ESTYN requirements and meeting Mudiad Meithrin Aims and Objectives.
Assistant Anwen Parry and Assistant Sharon Williams– are level 3 qualified and have continued to play an integral role in our childcare offer. Apprentice Kady Jones has worked really hard managing work and theory demands.
We thank all staff for their continued hard work, flexibilty and dedication to the children at Cylch.
Since the last AGM (October 2022) we introduced a new volunteer scheme, lead by Sally Thomas, this has proved a great success offering opportunities for parents and family members to get involved in the sessions at Cylch. Our thanks extend to Sally for her continued advise, support and hard work.
We have managed our financial obligations this year as seen in our Annual Accounts.
We have used FaceBook and DoJo for the majority of our communications, sharing notices, information and activities, We have had a variety of super Cylch generated window displays in the Caffi, and we have had Art /Craft competitions that have had sponsored prizes along with art displays in Church too. Thank you to all who publish and support these activities.

We do not have any elected new Trustees this year and to ensure sustainability and resilience of the Board of Trustees we have re-elected current Trustees for a range of timescales. As such, I would like to say a huge heartfelt thanks to all the current Trustees, who perform their duties diligently, with wisdom and tenacity, and as volunteers, all give up their personal time to continue to support the children of our locality. Through this support, we have developed a highly regarded child care offer. I would also like to thank to all other supporters past and present in helping the Cylch to gain momentum and strength.
