TRANSFER OF ASSETS AND LIABILITIES
The Charitable Incorporated Organisation (registration number 1202955), was established to replace the previous unincorporated charity (registration number 1134537). Since both charities had the same group of Trustees, the trustees had a conflict of interest. We applied to the Charity Commission for authority to transfer assets and liabilities from the old charity (registration number 1134537) to this charity (registration number 1202955). This authority was received on 27 August 2024.
An extraordinary meeting of Trustees was held on 10 October 2024. Having checked with the Charity Commission and with our Auditors Lakin Rose, trustees agreed to formally backdate the transfer of assets and liabilities to 01 January 2024. As such, accounts for 2023 have been reported against the charity with registration number 1134537. Accounts for 2024 will be reported against the charity registration number 1202955. Once all assets and liabilities have been transferred, the old charity will be formally closed.
