Activities
to advance the Christian Faith of the Free Methodist Church in the United Kingdom, the furtherance of the religious and other charitable work of the Free Methodist Church for the public benefit, in accordance with the doctrine disciplines and usages of M.E.N. regular church services, educational services, grants to relieve financial hardship, public outreach, missionary work.
Objects: 4.1 The Purposes ("Objects") Of M.e.n. Are:(a) To Advance The Christian Faith, As Expressed In The "Articles Of Religion Of The Free Methodist Church In The United Kingdom" (As Presently Set Out In The Appendix 1 Of This Constitution And Within The Free Methodist Church Book Of Discipline); And(b) The Furtherance Of The Religious And Other Charitable Work Of The Free Methodist Church For The Public Benefit, In Accordance With The Doctrines, Disciplines And Usages Of M.e.n. For The Time Being As Set Forth In The Book Of Discipline, Carried Out In Such Ways And In Such Parts Of The United Kingdom Or The World As The Trustees From Time To Time May Think Fit,(c) Including, But Not Limited To Holding A Variety Of Regular Church Services, Educational Services, Grants To Relieve Financial Hardship, Public Outreach, Missionary Work And The Establishment Of New Churches According To The Same Basis Of Faith.(d) Such Other Charitable Purposes As Shall, In The Opinion Of The Charity Trustees Further The Work Of M.e.n.4.2 Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The M.e.n. For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005] And Section 2 Of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
