The first accounts covered the 9 months from l July 2024 to 31 March 2025. These accounts cover l April 2025 to 31 March 2026 The purpose of the charity is: the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Article5 of Faith primarily but not exclusively within Sunderland and the surrounding area. To achieve thls the Church holds services each Sunday which are open for anyone to attend 8nd activitie5 during the week for adults, children young people and families as well as special events at various times during the year. The Church comes together as a group of people to help one another to grow in our Christian faith and to share this with other people.. to enjoy being in God's presence and worshipping Him together, to encourage one another as we try and live out Jesus's teaching and to show and tell other people who Jesus is. The Charity may also provide other services and activities that shall, In the opinion of the charity trustees, put into practice the Christian faith in accordance with the Articles of Faith, including but not limited to- the prevention and relief of need, hardship and sickness- the advancement of education,. and the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of thei¥ youth, age, infirnity or disability, financial hardship or social cicumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life, provided that the advancement of such purpose5 is undertaken in a manner that is consistent with the Doctrinal Distinctives and Ethical Stètements a5 may be adopted and amended by the Church from time to time in accordance wtth the provisions of the Church Handbook. In addition to the church services the charity has made financial donations to local and national charities and assitted iftdividuals by physical, mental and spiritijal help as réquirèd. The charity is in a very strong position at the perFod end. There is no specrfic policy for holding reserves but the amount currently held is more than adequate to meet any emergency and in the coming year the Trustees are looking to utilise some of the current ¥eserves to employ an assistant pastor. Thè Trust is governed by the Constitution registered wtth the Charity Commission as a Charit3ble Incorporated OrEanisation. Trustees are nominated by the other Trustees and elected by the Charity's members.
