Activities in the year
Doorways Middlesbrough provides and supports clients with a hot nutritious meal three days a week.
Support and plan for homeless and the vulnerable to benefit and for them to receive support with their
daily needs and future planning. Doorways Middlesbrough offer a personal hygiene facility also
housing and health support. Doorways provides support and facilities and assist the many homeless
and rough sleepers in Middlesbrough with help to turn their life around, interact and engage with
external service practitioners. Doorways provide and serve food for up to 60 clients, without these
services homeless and rough sleepers in the community would have very little or no support. The
support Doorways provides has an immense impact on client's lives knowing they have the support
and facilities at Doorways Community Café and Hub venue to turn to for help.
Doorways holds a register and data base of service users, each member signs in to the establishment
to access food and register as a client user, some of our clients are sign posted to other practitioners
and services and record keeping is kept of which services they have engaged with.
Doorways Trustees and volunteers believe operating at grassroots level that a better and clearer
understanding for the need Doorways facility provides as of the consistently high number of people
accessing the service. Doorways volunteers are the focus of advocacy and reasonably give up their
