GLM is a church based in Kent (Cliffe Village)
Our Aims

To reach people with the good news of Jesus Christ.

To help people of all ages and backgrounds to understand the Christian faith.

To be a community of believers who intend to help each other in everyday struggles of life.

To support those that are vulnerable; the poor, disabled and disadvantaged in society.

To encourage parents to find time for their children and take them out to social activities.

To have a set of beliefs and values we live with as part of the Christian community.

To help and support those in bereavement or just struggling to cope with life.

To raise our children in a safe space, encouraging them to have Christian values and beliefs.

To support the local community where possible, giving recourse to live by.

To be an agent of peace, friendship and encouraging integration of communities.
Our achievements of 2024:

Our normal regular Sunday Services have continued to run smoothly
-
Our membership has averaged at around 30 people per service. In addition to this we have over 232 followers on Facebook. Our audience has increased to over a thousand on social media.

Virtual Bible studies and prayer meetings run on Mondays and Fridays over Zoom.

Major project for 2025

As a board of leadership, we are planning to run a food bank for the disadvantaged people in Cliffe Village and surrounding areas.
-
We expect more families to join the church 2025.
-
We expect more young adults to join the Praise and Worship.
Funding: Please see our financial report below.
Our main bill is the rent for the building we meet in. The monthly bill comes to £190 for Hall rentals. The bill can be higher if we book practice sessions for our Praise and Worship Team.
Other bills include booking spaces for our conferences and youth trips. For example, this year we ran an Easter Conference and we also had a Youth + Sunday School trip to Thorpe Park. We also subsidized the Thorpe Park trip for our members using the church account. All these costs will be added to our annual bill.
For us to run the church services, we need a working P.A system, microphone, projector (and screen), and instruments. Our members donate money in the form of Tithes and Offerings. If you would like more details on our finances, please refer to our annual return report uploaded on this platform.
