|**Summary of the objects of the**
**charity set out in its**
**governing document**
**Summary of the main**
**activities undertaken for the**
**public benefit in relation to**
**these objects (include within**
**this section the statutory**
**declaration that trustees have**
**had regard to the guidance**
**issued by the Charity**
**Commission on public**
**benefit)**|The Objects of the CIO are the relief of poverty among children in the UK
and Africa for the public benefit through the provision of grants to enable
access to education, healthcare, basic needs such as food and clothing,
and to enable them to participate in healthy recreational activities that
they would otherwise be unable to afford.|
|---|---|
||The organisation operates practically by relying on voluntary donations
from individuals or other non-profit organisations that share the same
ideas. The organisation will continue to advertise and promote its vision
to expand the charity’s reach and awareness among potential donors.
More so, the Foundation will display fliers in places that parents and
young children are likely to visit frequently such as Local Community
Centres, churches, mosques etc. Also, the foundation will prepare an
information pack, letter, or leaflet to introduce or promote the club by
asking the local school to give it out to any new parents.
The Love Foundation believes that every child is special, each with their
unique gifting and qualities. Hence, the Foundation will give more
attention to local schools in Nigeria, since after-school club form part of
the Government’s extended school agenda in the UK. However, we
notice that even in the UK there are times where some children want to
engage or learn some skills such as ballet, musical instruments, but the
parents are unable to pay the cost of learning. Therefore, Love
Foundation will support such children by providing the financial support
they need so that they can maximise their potentials.
Furthermore, Love Foundation will carefully develop program for holistic
and interactive learning environment to support the disadvantage
communities in Nigeria where every child can learn and grow through
engaging in different after-school clubs such as musical instruments
training, ballet classes. The Foundation will provide financial support for
volunteers or local charity and schools to carry this project out.
In promoting the project, after-school club, the foundation will approach
and speak local schools within the target communities for opportunity to
introduce the club at one of the school parent-teacher meetings/assembly
and distribute fliers. If allow will create stand at the school fair or parent’s
evening where people can be enlightened and educated of the benefits of
the after-school clubs at no cost.|
