With the appointment and installalton of Ven James Henley as the new Archdeacon of Newport. Jarrtes rgplaced lan Rees as the nominated ArChde0￿n in March 2026. Mrs Christie Cook wa5 also installed as a Chapter Canon in February 2026. Christie replaced Ms Hannah Rowan, who resigned on moving away from the diocese. Dr Manon Cerithyen James res•3ned as Canon Thw)bgian in September 2025 on beirig appoirited Dean of Bangor Cathedral. Mamn cited h8r exp8rÈ8nc8s of Newport Cathedr81 as part of th inspiration for envisaging how a cathedral can serve a ¢ity.
