|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|Bude Cancer Support was founded in 2022<br>to provide much needed support to people<br>affected in any way by cancer living in or<br>visiting the Bude-Stratton area.<br>Since then approximately 450 people have<br>visited the cafes and found a safe place to<br>connect with others who are in a similar<br>position and benefit both from peer support<br>and the advice and guidance available.<br>Many of them have also attended the<br>group’s workshops and/or therapies which<br>provide opportunities to explore new<br>activities and are planned to improve<br>mental and physical wellbeing.<br>All of the workshops/therapies are free of<br>charge to attendees and are run in<br>conjunction with other local charities and<br>businesses.<br>BCS are the only provider of these services<br>on a free to beneficiary basis in the area.|
