INTROOUCTION
The trustee has pleasu￿ in presentlng its first annual report and the unaudited,
independently reviewed financial statements of the charity for the period ended 30
November 2023.
LEGAL STATUS
The Beverston Village Hall Trust was established under a trust deed dated 23 February
2020 as amended by deed dated 4 Aprll 2023. It was registered with the Charity
Commission on 12" April 2023 under Charity number 1202696. The registered address Is
Beverston Villa8e Hall, Bever5ton. Tetbury. Glos, GL8 8rr.

maintenance of a Village Hall and garden for the use of the Inhabltants of the Parish of
Bever5ton. without distfinctlon as to politics. religious. or other oplnlons Includlng use for
meetings, lectures and classes as well 35 Other fonns of recreatlon and leisure. with the
objertive o( improving the condltlons of Ilfe for the said inhabttsnt5.
In planning Its actSvltles, the Trustee ha5 given ￿refvI Considera￿on to the Charity
Commission'5 general guidance on public benefit and in particular to its supplementsry
publlc beneflt guldance on providing recreational facilities.
REVIEW OF DEVELOPMENTS, AcnvrriES AND ACHIEVEMENT5
The Trustee has not undertaken any development work during the pertod other than mlnor
rnaintenance. It has established a Hall Hiring business, and cont5nues to hold the annual
Parish 88Q and Qulz night as well as other social cornmunity functions.

5rATEmE￿ OF TRUSTEE RESPONSIBILMES
The charities Act requires the Trustee to prepare financial statements for each financlal year
which give a true and fair view of the state of affair5 of the charity at the end of the year and
of the surplus or deficlt for ihe year then ended.
In preparing these flnanclal statements, the Trustee Is reqUI￿d to selert sultable accountlng
policies, as described on page 6. and then apply thern consistently.
Approve, make Judgements and estSmates that are reasonable and prudent and state
whether applicable accounting standards have been followed. Subject to any material
departures disclosed and explalned In the financial statements, to prepare the financlal
statements on a going concern basis unles5 it is inappropriate for the charity to contlnue In
buslness.
The Trustee is responsible for keeplng proper accountlng records which disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to ensure that the
financlal statements comply with the Charwtre5 Art 2011.
The Trustee is also responslble for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and for taking
reasonable 5tep5 for the prevention and detettlon of fraud and Irre8ularitles.

I report on the unaudited accounts of the charity for the period ended 30 November 2023
set out on pages 4 to 6.
RESPECTIVE RESPONSI8IUTIES OF THE TRUSTEE AND EXAMINER
The charitvs trustee is responsible for the preparats'on of the accounts. The charlty's trustee
consider5 that an audit is not requlred for the perlod In questSon under sectlon 144 of the
Charltles Act 2011 (The Charities Act) and that an independent examination is requlred.
It is my responsibility to:.
examine the accounts under sertion 14S of the Charitles Act
to follow procedures lald down in the General Direttions given by the Charity
Commission lunder section 14515)(bl of the Charities Act and
to stste whether particular matters have corne to my attention.
BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT
My ex3mSnatlon was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charlty
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the
charity and 3 comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes
consideration of any unusual items or disclosure5 in the accounts, and seeking explanations
from the trustee conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide
all the evSdence that would be required in an audit. and consequently no opinion is given as
to whether the accounts present a "true and fair" view and the report is Ilmlted to those
matters set out in the statement below.
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT
In connection with my examinatson, no matter has come to my attention:

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basls of Accountlng
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical c05t
convention and in accordance with applicable accounting stsndards and the
ststement of Recommended Practice on accounting by charities.
Incoming Resour
Income is recognised In the perlod In which the charity is entitled to receipt
and the amount can be measured with reasonable certainty. Income Is
deferred only when the charity has to fulfil condition5 before becoming entitled
to It or when the donor has specified that the income 5$ to be expended in a
future perlod.
Resources Expanded
Expenditure is included on an accrual basis. inclusive of VAT which cannot be
recovered. Expenditure is included in the category to which it relates.
Liabilities are included in the accounts as soon as recognlsed.
Staff Costs
The charity ha5 no paid staff.
Depredatlon Charges
The charity doe5 not charge depreciation on the cost of the bullding.
