The annual report covers 01 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 and acknovAedges SORP
2019 relevant to this accounting period in using its guidance to assist GAND AID UK
(registered 12 April 2023) and FRS102 for accounting purpos8s in compiling tl
report and meeting its obligations as a registered Charity Incorporated Organisation
(CIO) in adopting the 'Accountin9 and Reportsng by Charibes. Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable to chartties prepanng their financial ststernents in
accordance bmth the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic
of Ireland {effectiv8 1 January 2019).. It is also noted that future accountin9 periods
will respond to the updated SORP 2026 with re9ard to repo￿.n9 updates.

Th8 report recognises that GAND AID UK is set up for the purposes of its pnmary
users, stakeholders and the stewardship and management of funds during and
within its fundraising activitias The Charity, within its second year of reportsng, has
engaged with donors, funders and financial supporters that continue to help raise
funds within the early start-up of the charity.
l am satr'sfi8d that GAND AID UK has effectively targeted appropriate audiences
through the creation of a lomial w￿bsite and associated srrial media platforms,
established a UK database of those affected by the neurodevelopmental condition,
and through furKJraising activities. providing direct access to GAND AID UK officials
both online and-or in person.
l am, therefore, satisfied that GANO AID UK is continuing to build the foundab'on to
meet its charitable obligatior6 and continues to remain finan￿allY viable beyond its
initial start-up.
The report is compiled by the Charity's Trustees and use of a Company for financial
accounting purposes, although the second-year's financial income amount falls short
of fomal auditsng requirements.

The objectives of the Chanty remain unchanged arKI for.
The relief of sickness and the preservation and protectron of health for the Public
Benefit of people affected by or suffering from GATAD2B-ASSOCIATED
NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISORDER (GAND) and in parbcular but without
limitation by al providing advi￿, edu¢ats'on and support for such persons and their
families including Ihe provision of Servi￿ dogs b) raising awareness about GAND
and providing infonnats'on and advi* to members of the medical profession and c)
funding research into GAND and early idents"ficatson and possible treatment.

In response, the Charity has created a fomial website (gandaiduk.orgl ￿th
associated social media access. 'get involved. contact Infomiats'on and useful
resource links in both providing information and raising awareness.
The Charity organised a number of fundraising events in generating fiJrth8r
awareness and continues to subscribe to the Glijbal 'Rare ￿SeaSe. Day campaign
using both the UK and European platforms.
The Charity has established a UK database of affected families with some
consenting to the use of their data for medical research purposes. The database also
provides the opportunity to communicate directly with those aff8Cted by the condition
and the Charity is increasing its networks to reach those organisats'ons and
profèssions that are able to contnbute to its charitable aims and objectives.
Public Benefit Statemont
The Twstees meet on a scheduled basis to plan, review and implement the Charity's
strategy wilh the Trustees paying due regard tt) the guidan￿ on its obligab'ons to
deliver activits'6s for the Public Benefit, as those described and issued by the Charity
Commission.
The Charity is confident that it has initiated the types of adivities that provides a
Public Benefrt through its acthons, and continues to build momentum in which it is
able to reach its int8nded tsrget groups and particulady families
Achlevemont and Perfomiance
The Charity has established a close Nvorking ￿lationShiP with Us-based Dr Tyler
Pierson (Medical Doctor and Primary Investigator of GATA02B) and has referred a
number of UK families to Dr Pierson's research programme. Dr Pierson has
committed to attend GAND AID UK inaugural GAND Conference in April 2025 and
agreed to one-tckone consuftatson with all att8nding UK families.
Wèbsite
The Charity continues to add and update its website providing links to activities and
events. The website is conts'nually updated with the latest news and features.
The website includes the most recent research update i.e. 'Gatad2b, associated wrth
the neurodevelopmental syndrome GAND, and provides open access to artide(s)
distnbuted under the tenns of the Creab've Commons CC BY license.
Social Media
The Charity continues to uses Instagram to promote its activities and subscribes to
both the UK and European 'Rare Disease, day platforms and continues to access
EURODIS, which offers seminars and webcasts for training purposes.

At the year end the charity's funds were in credit by £25.511.47 consisting enb'rely of
unrestricted funds generated through donations.
The amortisation of goodwill (£5,C(IO) with regard to the seth'ng-up and maintenance
of the Charity in the first twenty-four months wll be reflected in its reserve policy y￿th
and increase to the above amount being eonsFd8red annual operats'ng expenses.
Plans for Future Periods
The core objective is (a) dellvering the inaugural 2025 UK-based GAND Conferenc8
Specifically targets'ng UK families and professionals in the field of neurodevelopment
provision and (b) using the conference to fijlly engage with GAN￿affected families
and building a database for communicats.on purposes.
