The trustees present their report with the financial sthiements of the charity for the year ended 30 April 2025 The
trustees have adopted the provisions of A¢¢ounting and Reporring by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice
applicabl¢ lo charitie5 preparing their accounts in accordance wilh the Financial Reporting Standard applicJble in the
UK and R¢public of Ireland (FRS 102) (eff¢¢tive l January 2019).
HOll￿S Hearts was established by Mark and Jenny Prince in memory of their daughter Holly who h¥d a very rare
condiiion called Bloorn Syndrome. There are less ihan 3(M) p¢ople In the world registered with the ¢ondition. Children
with Bloom Syndrome have an Incre&sed chance of developing uncer. Holly was diagnosed wilh cancer at age three and
sadly passed away aged flve in April 2022.
The organisation has been raising money for teminally ill children since 2022 bui it wa5 not until I l April 2023 that the
charl￿ble incorporated organi5ation known as Holl￿5 Heatts was forn)ally registered with the Charkty Commission. In
June 2023, the balance of monie5 accumulated to date, £l1.978. was ty8nsfrrr¢d inio the charity bank account.
Message from the founders
We ar¢ proud of how far our ¢haTiry has come over the lasi year. We hev¢ seen the amount of gift ￿qUests 80 up a little
and we have developed an increased awareness of the charity as well ¥ the development of stron8 ¢onnec(ions with
Social workers and NHS workers who are ref¢rrin8 children io us on a regular basis. Families of a child going ihrough
cancer ireatmeni face significant financial difficulties and because of this the oppomlnity for gift5, days out and holidays
becomes hard. This is where Holly's Heart5 comes in to help ih¢se familk¢s create heart-wamiin8 memories ¢ogeth¢r that
will last a lifetime. A5 well as days out and respite breaks we also offer support in the way of gifts such as ioys, 8aming,
lothing gn)¢hing the ¢hild ne¢(ts or wants ¢0 pul a smile on their face.
None of this would be possible without the 8¢nero$ity of our supporters. The comrnunity around us near and far have
come togeiher to rnise funds for us ihis y¢4r and these funds h¢lp us io etsniinue to deliver ihis support ¢0 the families
thai r¢ally need li.

Our aim is to help create h¢art wanning memories for children wilh cancer. Our objectives are to help chIld￿n
diagnosed with an oncology related illness by providing gifts. days oui and respite breaks. Families can contact us
directly or we receive TeferTals through social workers ai various hospithls, community nursing teams and family support
w¢)rk¢TS at local Children's h05pices.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Charitable activities
During the year 1st May 2024 to 30th April 2025 we gifted 61 children 8nd their families with gifts, days out and respite
breaks and we a150 provided the childr¢n's oncology Ward 86 at The Royal Manchester Children'5 Hospital with 5
Playsiaiions along with games. Gift5 this year included football hospitality. caravan break& Center Parcs breaks, trips io
Blackpool and Ch¢5ter Zoo, theme park days oui 10 Gullivers World and Alton Tower& panto and theatr&lshow tickets.
Gamin& Lego, and iPads were very popular to help families thn)ugh lon8 hospithl Stsys. As well as making m¢moTies
we have a150 helped farnilies with cornfon gifts su¢h as clothing for children who had lostlgained weighL garden toys for
children isolating from infection risk, bunk beds for a family who had been rehomed with no furniture and pyjamas and
story telling technology for children in palliative care. We thre proud to offer such a diverse range of gift5 thai are
unique ¢0 what the family wani or need. This is personally discussed with the family andlor the social worker.
It is clear ¢hat families need our support and we hope to further increase the number of gift recipients in the future.
Fundraising Activities
We have held a number of fundraising activities in this reporting period in¢ludin8:

Holly's Hearts Charity Golf Day 2024 raising £2.500
Holly's Hearts Christm&s Raffle rdising £6.230
We have also had celebrities from Coronation Si raising money for us at the Al. Andy and Sarn Golf Day whi¢h raised
£21,719. We were a150 nominai¢d as rhe Con¢r¢te Society 2024 Ball Charity of the year where their event raised £6,369
for us.
We have a130 been Charity of the year for S￿phenSon$ Solicitors who have raised £8.671.
We have had a number of people fundroisin8 for U5 ihrou8h various chtrity fundrnis¢TS which has been a Steady income
through platfomis like JustGiving and we are grnieful thai people are continually donatin8 to our charity by dir¢¢t bank
paymcnts.
Our ¢ru51e¢s and a number of volunieers help us to run our events throu8hout the year. The trusiee$ hav¢ a volunteer
managemeni policy in pla¢¢ ¢arefully mana8in& ih¢ recnjiiment of volunleers and any perceived or aetu41 conflicts.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Flnancigl position
Durin8 the year to 30 April 2025 the charity had a total income of £127.739 and tothl 0X￿ndEl￿re of £38,412. None of
the income was r¢stricted and was available to be used for the general objeciives of the ¢harity.
Reserves policy
The trusiees have agreed that a reserves poliey of £30.000 is an acceptabl¢ level of reserv¢5 as thi5 is approximately
whai is needed 10 gift families in a one year perÈod.
The trustees had di5cuwd purchasing a canva￿0]id&Y home in the coming year to provide respite bre&k5 for families
if their unrestricied funds reaches over £1 00,000. This was purchased in the year to 30 April 2026 al a cost in excess of
£30.000.
