Objectives and Activities.
Youth Mindset exists for the public benefit, to act as a resource for young people up to the age of 25 living in the Milton Keynes area by providing advice and assistance and by organising mentoring support and activities as a means of: advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals.
MAIN ACTIVITIES.
Youth Mindset has recruited and trained 72 Youth Mentors during the period identified.
We have worked with 60 young beneficiaries across the MK Postcode area.
The charity has initiated the VIPMK project by constructing a website and developing a series of potential interactive activities in liaison with Thames Valley Police and Local Education Facilities.
The Charity has worked in liaison with volunteers in a localised area to develop a weekly interactive Youth Club 11-18 yr olds
The Charity has also launched a weekly interactive games club for post
16 – 25 year olds.
Throughout these activities Trustees have taken into account guidance from the Charities Commission on activity being for the Public Benefit.
Achievements & Performance.
As well as the aforementioned. The Charity has had impact on homelessness, employability, engagement with education, disengagement with criminal activity, improvements in mental health and well-being and financial security of many of the vulnerable young people of Milton Keynes.
Furthermore, the charity has created safe and nurturing facilities to enable vulnerable youngsters to socialise.
The impact on society being a more engaged, community minded, positive population. Potentially lowering costs within Mental Health Services, Local Government and Policing.
Finances.

Currently it is necessary for the Charity to maintain a good balance of funds in order to be able to apply for larger future funding opportunities.

The Charity is a CIO with a Constitution Document. Where only Charity Trustees are permitted to vote.

1) Eligibility for trusteeship
a) Every charity trustee must be a natural person.

b) No individual may be appointed as a charity trustee of the CIO:

if he or she is under the age of 16 years; or
-
if he or she would automatically cease to hold office under the provisions of clause [12(1)(e)].

c) No one is entitled to act as a charity trustee whether on appointment or on any re-appointment until he or she has expressly acknowledged, in whatever way the charity trustees decide, his or her acceptance of the office of charity trustee.

d) At least one of the trustees of the CIO must be 18 years of age or over. If there is no trustee aged at least 18 years, the remaining trustees may only act to call a meeting of the charity trustees, or appoint a new charity trustee.
