Tyne Tees Heritage Transport CIO Annual Report April 2023 to March 2024

Tyne Tees Heritage Transport registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation on 4[th] April 2023 with charitable objects to advance public education by preserving and displaying historic vehicles. We have four trustees at present.

We have brought together members of many groups of people interested in transport heritage with the aim of developing a transport museum for the North of England. We have been working with the developers of a site on the edge of Sunderland and hope to achieve a lease within the next year. In the meantime, we worked with other community groups to support activities to help people with dementia, mental health and wellbeing and engaging and educating people with heritage transport.

During the year we have attended a number of shows to support like-minded clubs and built up a membership.

There was no income during the year and the expenditure of £195 was spent on a gazebo and high visibility vests to enable our presence at events.
