**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AND MEMBERS OF THE KING&#x27;S OWN ROYAL REGIMENT (LANCASTER) IN THE HISTORY AND MILITARY ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE REGIMENT AND TO PROMOTE MILITARY EFFICIENCY AND ENCOURAGE RECRUITMENT BY PUBLIC EXHIBITION OF THE COLLECTION IN A MUSEUM OR MUSEUMS OR SUCH OTHER PUBLIC PLACES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE, AND TO CONSERVE, RESTORE, REPAIR, RECONSTRUCT AND PRESERVE OBJECTS IN THE COLLECTION.

**Activities:** The Trust owns a collection of over 40,000 objects, documents and photographs chronicling the history of the King&#x27;s Own Royal Regiment from its formation in 1680 to its amalgamation in 1959 with the Border Regiment to form the King&#x27;s Own Royal Border Regiment.   By agreement with the City Council of Lancaster, the collection is curated, stored, exhibited and managed by Lancaster City Museums.
