Yearly Report of the trustees
Jeff has taken over from Lisa as a trustee for BWORKZ as of 6[th] February 2024.
In January 2024, BWORKZ received a donation of £500 from JustGiving. This has been used to purchase beekeeping equipment to prepare for 2024 Spring season.
In October 2023, John met with Eddie from Wellies farm and garden CIC in Newport. This has developed and BWORKZ were given a space on the land to build an accessible educational apiary. Funding for this came from The National Lottery Awards for all grant on 2[nd] April 2024. Ground works for the Accessible apiary were completed 1[st] May 2024, hives were positioned on 20[th] June 2024
Videographer from woodland trust visited us 24[th] June 2024 at our woodland trust apiary in Cefn Ila. The video will not be used until March 2025 for promotional work for courses.
BWORKS attended Glastonselfy festival on 29[th] June 2024. With a lot of interest from the public for courses in 2025.
14[th] September 2024, John and Gary attended the USK Show with Wellies Farm.
October 2024 preparations were underway for our winter season with the hives.
January 2025 saw a few hives abandoned by bees due to weather. these hives will be replenished from our remaining stock in early spring 2025
