## **Canberra Heritage Trust Annual Report 2025**

## **Summary**

The primary activities of the CHT in 2025 comprised:

- Building the Canberra archive (documents and artefacts) at West Raynham SHQ

- Enhancing the display room and external displays at SHQ

- Publishing newsletters and supporting research activities by individuals and groups

- Supporting Canberra preservation projects

## **Financial**

Donations continue to be low, but as expenses are low there was no drive to push donations. However, it was agreed that in 2026 a renewed fundraising drive would be launched in order to fund further expansion of the archive and displays.

## **Newsletter**

The newsletter continues to grow in distribution and remains popular, although contributions of articles and photographs remain limited. The social media pages continue to be well used.

## **CHT Archive and Display, West Raynham SHQ**

The archive of objects, documents and photographs continues to grow, with some interesting additions in 2025 in terms of documents and photographs. The Annual Canberra Reunion, part of the Cold War Day at West Raynham, was well attended. Five family groups were provided with research assistance. A number of authors were given access to the archive.

## **Assistance to Canberra Projects**

Significant support, documents and spare parts, were provided to the SAAF Canberra restoration. Final delivery of all spare parts, including nose, wheels, tyres and assorted jacks, is expected in 2026 once the transport SAAF C-130 departure date is confirmed.
