## **2. Objectives and Activities** 

## **Objectives** 

The Oasis Foundation exists to: 

- Advance the Christian faith by raising public awareness and understanding of religious beliefs and practices, while carrying out missionary and outreach work 

- Alleviate poverty and provide relief to the needs of children and young people through grants and the provision of items designed to improve their conditions of life, such as clothing and food. 

## **Activities** 

During the reporting period, the charity remained in a preparatory and organisational phase. No formal charitable programmes or financial transactions were carried out through the registered charity structure during this time.

Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public 

remain for the public benefit, and future activities are intended to further these charitable aims. 

## **4. Financial Review** 

- The charity **received no income** 

- The charity **incurred no expenditure** 

- The charity held **no assets or liabilities** 

The trustees therefore consider the charity to have been **purposes** during this period. 

## **5. Reserves Policy** 

As the charity did not receive or hold funds during this period, no reserves were held. The trustees will establish an appropriate reserves policy once the charity begins active financial operations. 

## **6. Structure, Governance and Management** 

The charity is governed by its CIO constitution. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the governing document. 

The trustees are responsible for the overall management and administration of the charity. Decisions are made collectively at trustee meetings. 

## **7. Risk Management** 

The trustees have considered the major risks to which the charity may be exposed. During this dormant period, risks were minimal due to the absence of financial activity. As the charity becomes operational, the trustees will implement appropriate financial controls, safeguarding procedures, and governance measures.
