Introduction
Th¢ form and layout of this annual report follows the Statement of Recommended Practice "Accounting and Reporting by
ctwi¢i¢s" (revised 2005).
Board of Trustees
Th¢ tru5te¢s are also the directors of the Company. The number of trustees Shall not be less than four or more than eleven. The
trustees cotnpris¢ individuals nominated by members of the Scarborough & Distrsct Cricket Development Group (the"Nominated
Trustees"), tog¢th¢r with up to seven Individuals co-opted by the trustees {the "Co-opted Trustees"). Generally, trustees are
appointed for a thr¢¢-y¢ar terni and are eligible for subsequent three year tetThs if they ar¢ authorised by th¢ trustees.
Investments
The constitution authoris¢s the trustees to make and hold investments using the general fi2nds of the charity. There are currently no
investments other than the bank account.
Constitution, objects, and organisation
The charity is a company without share capital, governed by its memorandum and articles of association. The liability of Tnembers
in the eveni of winding up 15 limited by guardntee to an amount not exceeding £1 per member. The company is a registered charity
(registered number 1202510).
The primary Obj￿tive of the charity is to prolnote and develop cricket skillslparticipation in boroughs of deprivation in the
Scarborough & Ryedale and surrounding areas, by training and upgrading the ski115 of coaches and providing equipment.
The charity aims to provide excellent cricket coaching for children in the local area. The charity also seeks to increase the number
of junior volunteer coach¢5 and cricketers by encouraging them io take up cricket and to use local cricket club facilitÈes and
qualified coaches associated with the charity.
The board of trustees is responsible for the governance and day to day running operation of the Charity. There are no employees.
The trustees consider there is no need for a forn)al induction and traaning programme for the new trustees due to the size of the
charity.
Developments, activities and achievements
The charity has helped 5¢v¢ral young adults to access National Governing Body Qualifications- ECB Level l and 2 Certification
in Cricket Coaching. These young coach¢5 have sin¢¢ started coaching for S&DCDG in local schools aJ)dlor clubs.
The charity has also increased the number of junior participants in cricket by Providing coaching courses during the winter months.
The charity fulfilled this aim by raising grants and donations to cover the ¢os¢ of sending coaches on ¢OUTses and providing sports
hall hire for coaching.
During the year ended 30 September 2025 the charity's objective was to ensure that this coaching happened and leaves a legacy in
the local area.
The charity's strategy for achieving this objective is to keep local schools and clubs aware of the coaching available to their
children so that the legacy continues in the fvture.
The activities undertaken in the year met the objectives set, with five coaches re¢eiving ECB Qualifications and coaches coaching
cricket in 25 schools (coaching over 4,000 children of pritnary and s¢¢ondary age).

Financial Review
The trustees would like to express their sin¢ere thanks to all tsf the charitie5. trusts. organisations and individuals that donaied fvnds
towards the project. We would atso like to ihank ihe variou5 OTganisation5 who provided grants to fund ihe costs of the project.

The funding sources are Grants and Donations received. This income is used to pay for Junior Cricket in the Scarborough &
Ryedale districts. There h85 been income ECB Chancellor to Shine. and from the MCC.. these have been very helpful in the past
but have now been withdrawn. the village Clubs of Forge Valley. Wykeham and Nawton Grange have all benefitted froin th¢se, as
has Scarborough, the leading club in the are& Our ChaTity is the only source of funding for girls. cricket in the area.
The principal risks to the charity relate to the r¢duced participation in the game of cricket within our area.
The charity'5 PQSltion at the year-end is that cricket is thriving in the local area with a large percentage of children having access to
coaching and game play throughout the year. The trustees are happy with the position of the charity at th¢ year-¢nd_
Plans for fmtmre periods
The charity's fuiuTe plans are to continue to upskill local coaches that can then continue to coach the cricketers of the future. It is
also an aim to further links with local schools and clubs, providing cricket coaching for all that are interested. The charity plans to
increase the number of qualifi¢d ¢oa¢hes that ¢an be used to help with the junior coaching.
Volunteers and donated services
All the trustees receive no remuneration or pay from the work undertaken lo the charity. Other donated services including
sport5 hall hire have not been quantified or included in the acctsunt5. Statement of Rpxommended Practice "Accounting and
Reporting by Charities" onty requires donated services to be included in the Statement of Financial A¢tiviti¢s where the benefit of
the charity is reasonably quantifiable and measurable.
A considerable part of the work has be¢n to encourage th05e who are less well-off to integrate with others and thereby strengthen
local clubs and communities and to tsive youngsters a wider and more inclusive experience.
Statement of reserves policy
A Teserves poli¢y has been detemiined for the Association and the reserve has been quantified as having funds available in the
bank account to cover at least six month's expenditrjre. This reserve ha5 been quantified at £18,000.
Risk strategy
The trustees have examined th¢ major strategic, business and operational risks which the charity faces and conf]rm that syst¢ms
have been established to enable regular reports to be produced so that necessary steps can be taken io lessen those risk5.
Public Benefit
The charity's aims for public benefit are that it will provide excellent facilities for the advancement of amateur sportlcricket. The
charity will make available coaching for cricketers of all junior ages, and will not restrict the coaching because of, gender, sexual
orientstion. race. creed. colour or abiliry. The Charity aitns to keep its costs of coaching as low as possible. so that it is then
accessible to a5 many childrenlfamilies as possible.

Statement of directors, responsibilities
The dir¢ctor5 are responsible for preparing the financial statements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Company law Tequires the directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under the law the directors have elected
to prepare the financial ststements in accordance with United Kinodom Generally Accepted Actounting Practice (United Kingdom
Accounting Standards and applitable law). The finantial statement5 are required by law to give a true and fair view of the state of
affair5 of the Company and of the profit or loss of the company for that period. In preparing those financial statements the directors
are requiTed to..
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
make judgements and estimates thai are reasonable and prudent.

The directors are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose wilh reasonable accuracy at any time the

They are also re5pon5ible for safeguarding the assets of the entity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and
dete¢tion of fraud and other itTegularities.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Accounting convention
The f]nan¢ial Statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective January 2005). They comply with the charity's constitution, currenÉ
statutory requirements and the Statement of Recommended Practice "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" (revised
2005). The financial statements adopt the following principal accounting policies.
Incomillg resource5
All incomino resource5 are included in the statement of financial activities when the charity is legally entitled to the
ineome and the am(>unt can be qvantified with regsonable arKurdCy. ID¢ome of a revenue nature is deferred where it is
received in advance to be expended in th¢ following period or it r¢lates to a fundraising event held in the following period.
Capitsl grants are included in the statement of financial atlivities at the point of rcteipt or when the charity is legally
eniitled to the grant. As required by the Statement of Recommended Piactiee"Accounting and Reporting by Charities"
(revised 2(K)5), capital grants are not defentd over the lives of the asset they fijnd.
Resources expended
All expendithre is accounted for on an ac¢Tuals basis. Expenditure included under charitable activities comprises those
costs incurTed by the charity in the delivery of its activitie5 and serviees for its benefEciaries. It include5 both cgst that Can
be allocated directly to such activities and those costs of an indirect nature necessary to SUPPOrt them. Gov¢rnanc¢ costs
include those costs associated with meeting the constitutional and 5tatut(Trry requirement of the charity.
Donated services
Donated services have not been quantified or included in the fmancial statements. These relate to free work done on a
volunteer basi5. Statement of Recommended Practice 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities" only requires donated
s¢rvi¢¢s to be included in the statement of financial activities where the benefit to the charity is reasonably quantifiable and
Me￿UrabIe.
FUND ACCOUNTING
Unrestricted income ￿ndS are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherdnce of the general objectives of
the charity. Restricted income funds are funds to be used in accordance with specific restrictions imposed by donors or
funds which have been raised for a particular putwse. The restricted fund shown in these financial statements must be
used to pay expenses incu￿ed in the schools. cricket income and related work from this work.
RELATED PARTY T114NSACTIONS
An opening donation was given to the charity from the Scarborough and District Cri¢k¢t Development Group amounting to
£30,902.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above Charity ("The Trust") for the year
ended 30 September 2025.

As the Charity's trustees, you ar¢ responsible for the preparation of the accounts in a¢¢ordan¢¢ with th¢
Requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("Th¢ A¢t").

and in carrying out my examination, I haver followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity
