The forni and layout of this ant]ual report follows the Statemenl of Recommended Practice "Accounting and Reporting by
Charities" (revised 2005).
Board of Trustees
The trustees are also the directors of the company. Th¢ number of tTUStees shall not be less than four or more than eleven. The
trustee5 comprise individuals nominaied by members of the Scarborough & District Cricket Development Group (the"Nominated
T￿stee5,), together with up to seven individuals co-opted by the tru5te¢s (the "Co-opted Trustees"). GeneTally. tNstees are
appointed for a three-year term and are eligible for subsequent three year tenDs if they are authorised by the tWStees.
Investments
The const]￿tion authorises the twstees to make and hold investiiients using ihe geneTal funds of the ¢harity. There are currently no
investments other than the bank account.
Constitution, objects, and organisation
The charity is a cornpany without share capital. governed by its tnemorandum and articles of association. The liability of memb¢r5
in the event otwinding up is litnited by guardntee to an amount not exceeding £1 per metnber. The company is a registered charity
{registered number 1202510).
The primary objective of the charity 15 to promote and d¢v¢lop ¢ri¢ket skillslparticipation in boroughs of deprivation in the
Scarborough & Ryedale area and S￿￿ounding area5 by initially up5killingltraining coaches l order to provide cricket coaching and
equipment to encourage participation in cricket.
The ¢harity aims to provide excellent cricket coaching for children in the local area. The charity also Seeks to increase the number
of junior volunteer coaches and cricketers by encouraging them to take up Cricket and to use local cricket club facilitles and
qualifIed coaches associated with the charity.
The board of trustees is responsible for the governance and day to day running operation of the Charity. There are no employees.
The trustees consider there is no need for a fgrmal induction and training programme for the new trustees due to the size of the
charity.
Developments activities and gchievements
The charity has helped several young adults to access National Goveming Body Qualifications- ECB Level l and 2 Certifieation
in Crick¢t Coaching. These young coaches have since started coaching for S&DCDG in local schools andlor clubs.
The charity has also increas¢d the nutnber ofjunior participants in cricket by providing coaching courses during the winter months.
The charity fulfilled this aim by raising grants and donations to ¢oveT the c05t of sending coaches on courses and providing spons
hall hire for coaching.
During the year ended 30 September 2024 the charity's objecrive was to ensure that this coathing happened and leaves a legacy in
the local area.
Th¢ charity's strategy for achieving thi5 objective is to keep local schools and clubs aware of the coaching available to their
children so that the legacy continue5 in the futur¢.
The activities undertaken in the year rnet the objectives 5¢t, with fiv¢ coaches receiving ECB Qualifications and coaches coaching
crickel in 25 sehools (coaching over 4,000 children of primary and secondary age).

Financial Review
The trustees would like to expre5S their sincere thanks to all of the charities, trusts, organisaiions and individuals that donaied funds
towards the projeet. W¢ would also like to thank the various organisations who provided grants to fvnd the ¢osis of the project.

The funding sources are wts received and donations received. Thi5 in¢ome is u5¢d to pay for Junior Cricket in the Scarborough
& Ryedale District.
The principal risks to the charity relate to the reduced participation in the gatne of cricket within our ar¢a.
The charity's pts5ltion at the year-end 15 that cri¢ket is thriving in the local area with a large percentage of chilthen having access to
coaching and game play throughout the year. The trnstees are happy with the position of the charity at the year-end.
Plans for future periods
The chority's future plans are to continue to upskill local ¢oa¢hes that ¢an then continue to coach the cricketers of the future. It is
also an aim to further links with local schools and clubs. providints ¢ri¢k¢t coaching for all that are interested. The charity plans to
increase the number of qualified coaches that can be used io help with (he junior ¢oa¢hing.
Volunteers And donated serviees
All the trustees receive no remuneration or pay from the work undertaken to run the charity. Other donated services including
sports hall hire have not been quantified or included in the accounts. Statement of Reeommended Practice"AtcountitJg and
Reporting by Charities" only requires donated services to be included in the Statement of Financial Activities where the benefIt or
the charity is reasonably quantifiable and measurable.
Statement of reserves policy
A reserves policy has been deterniined for the Association and the reserve ha5 been quantified as having fvnds available in the
bank a¢¢ount to cover at least six month's expenditure. This reserve has been quantified at £18,000.
Risk strategy
The trustees have examined the rnajor Strategic, bu5in¢5s and operational risks which the charity faces and confmn that systems
haye been established to enable regular reports to be produced so that necessary steps can be taken to lessen those risks.
Public Benefit
The charity's aims for public benefit are that it will provide excellent facilities for the advancement of amateur sportlcricket. The
charity will make available coaching for cricketers of all junior ages, and will not restrict the coaching because of. gender. sexual
orientation, race. creed, colour or ability. The charity aims to keep its costs of coaching as low as possible, so that it is then
accessible to as many childre￿lfamIlIeS as possible.

Company law requires the director5 to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under the law the directors have elecled
to pr¢pare the financial statement5 in accordance with United Kingdorn Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (United Kingdom
A¢counting Standard5 and applicable law). The fjnancial Statements are required by law to give a true and fair view of the state of

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
A¢¢ounting convention
The ￿￿3￿claI statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effwtive January 2005). They comply with the charity's constitution, current
statutory requirements and the Statement of Recommended Practice "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" (revised
2005). The f￿ancial statements adopt the following principal accounting policies.
Incoming resourees
All incotning resource5 are included in the statement of financial activities when the charity is legally entitled to the
income and the amount can be quantified with rea50nable accuracy. Income of a revenue nature is defe￿ed where it is
received in advance to be expended in the following period or it relates to a fundraising event held in the following period.
Capital grants are included in the statement of financial activities at the poinÈ of receipt or when the charity is legally
entitled to the grant. As required by the Statement of Recorntnended Practice"Accounting and Reporting by Charitie5"
(revised 2005). capital grants are not defe￿ed over the lives of the asset they fund.
Resources expended
All expendimre is accowited for on an a¢cNals basis. Expenditure included under charitable activities comprises those
costs incurred by the charity in the delivery of its activities and services for its beneficiaries. It includes both cost that can
be allocated directly to such activitie5 and those costs of an indirect nature necessary to support them. Governance costs
include those costs associated with meeting the constitutional and statutory reqllirement of the charity.
Donated serviees
Donated services have not been quantified or included in the fmaneial statements. These relate to free work done on a
volunteer basi5. Statement of Recommended Prdctice "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" only requires donated
services to be included in the statetnent of fJnan¢ial activities where the benefit to the charity is reasonably quantifiable and
Tnea5urable.
FUND ACCOUNTING
Unrestri¢ted income funds are available for use at the discretion of the tNstees in ￿n￿erance of the general objectives of
the charity. Restricted income funds are funds to be used in accordance with specific restrictions imposed by donors or
fvnds which have been raised for a particular putyose. The restricted fund shown in these fmancial statements musi be
used to pay expenses incurred in the schools, cricket income and related work from this work.
RELATED PARTY TtL4NSACTIONS
An opening donation was given to the charity from th¢ Scarborough and District Cri¢k¢t D¢v¢lopment Group amounting to
£30,902.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above Charity ("The Trust") for the year
ended 30 September 2024.
Responsibilities and Basis of Report
As tlie Charity's Iruslees. you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with th¢
Requirements of the Charities A¢1 2011 ("Th¢ Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act
and in Carrying out my examination, I haver followed all the applicabl¢ Dir¢ctions given by the Charity
Comtnission under section 145 (5)(b) of ihe Act.
Independent ExamiDer'5 Statement
I have completed my examination. I confirn) that no material matters have come to my attentton in connection
with th¢ examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material aspect..
